But in the past when we’ve played and lost in Ames and Manhattan with better teams, the quality of ISU and KSU were much better than what we will face this season.
Of the two, I expect a tougher game from ISU given that they have their roster intact now and will have played a few games with everyone back. Quirks of scheduling this season, where this would have been the year to play in Lawrence later in the season and have played in Ames earlier. The game at AFH is one I would like to have back.
Make no mistake, we should still win in Ames on Saturday, especially given the recent experience with playing them and having a better plan/emphasis to defend them at the 3-point line.
Shooting has always seemed to be the problem in Manhattan, for some reason we haven’t shot well there in the past. Hopefully this team can reverse that trend.
