Without the confusion of what his responsibilities are as a point and freed up to play to his strengths, it will be interesting to see what Newell can do. Not blaming Capel for working him last year at point, he had to, but he is obviously a short athletic wing or 2 guard. Glad Lon sees this and we have groom to work at the point with Blair.
It sounds like Lon is pretty excited about his prospects. I know he certainly showed some flashes of potential last year that had me excited to see what he could do with more minutes. What do you guys think we will see.
Actually, I sort of fired up to see all the new guys, (1) there is grooms -- he is either a bust or the best juco point ever, depending upon who you talk to, so it will be interesting to see what he is and can do; (2) there is osby -- he is either Lebron or a point guard wantabe, so I can't wait to see what he is and can do; and (3) there is arent -- he is a 6'10 bookout or a kid that couldn't play at NSU, depending upon who you talk to. It will also be interesting to see what development, if any, Neal and clark have made.
Win or lose, it will really be interesting to see how this team shapes up and how the new kids will impact the team.
