Still in the tournament according to most bracketologists. Think only 4-5 have OU out at the moment. As bad as it seems, I think overall the national media understands how tough and loaded the Big 12 is compared to other conferences.

OU's average across all bracketologists is an 11 seed, and the Big 12 has 9/10 teams. It would be 10/10 if OSU wasn't banned.

For example, the ACC has 4 out of 15 teams. Duke is a 3 seed, but the next best ACC team is Miami at a 10 seed. I wouldn't be surprised if a 16 or 17 win OU team makes the tournament. Beat Texas, OSU, and WVU at home, finish 16-15 and they honestly might go dancing lol.

This team may limp into the NIT if they somehow win a few games to finish over 500.
Wouldn't consider them a favorite in any of the remaining contests.

Here’s the thing: if they win a “few games,” that will get them to 8 conference wins and 18 overall, and would get them into the tournament. Having said that, I don’t see much hope that will happen. Last week was easily our best chance to bank a couple wins in a row, and we played two horrible games. I see little hope we win more than half of our remaining games.

I think you are right but I would feel much better if we had 8 wins going into the Big 12 tournament instead of getting that 8th win in the tournament.

Win home games and pick up one from KSU or ISU, and we're in. Win all 4, and we'll have a shot to move into an 7-9 spot with a good performance in Big 12 tourney.
