Rivals is about to put up a story, where they say Ishmail is liking what he is hearing from OU, but it is another 5 star who is actually talking up OU to him.

Who are we in on in the Kansas area? Is this Perry Ellis? Kind of different parts of Kansas...

Will update when I find out

Julius Randle is one of his buddies, I remember that when William Jennings did an update on him this winter.

Great info! Thanks!

From January
The Kansas City native identified many elite prospects that he has a close relationship with including 2013 Florida standout Kasey Hill of Findlay Prep (Nevada) standout and UNLV commit Nigel William-Goss, along with the No. 1 player in 2013 and top OU target Julius Randle.

Sooner connections?: If the Sooners were to land local product Stevie Clark, he could potentially lobby Wainright on OU’s behalf. But, surprisingly, Wainwright revealed that Clark isn’t the only friend with OU ties. Friend Julius Randle has discussed a possible OU “super class” with him. “Big Julius throws OU’s name out there to me once in a while.”

If Lon can pull this trifecta off then it would be one of the best recruiting classes in the programs history, if not the best.

If I was CLK, the very first guy I would have reached out to is Jeff Webster.

hahaha if OU got this supposed "super class", I would freak the hell out.

Exciting news! Guess we will have to wait more than a year to find out for sure, however, since one of them is a 2013 prospect.

It's nice to see the excitement and the positive feedback for OU basketball again. I, for one, was down in the dumps so far I thought it might take me a year or two to climb out.

What Coach Kruger and his staff have accomplished in a little more than two weeks is nothing short of remarkable. :OUbball-logo:

How would anybody get any touches if Stevie was on their team? I'm thinking he's going to put up Azuibuke (sp?) numbers next season as all his bigs are gone.

Well, if the worlds best recruiter can't sign a class like this, then what makes anyone think poor little old Lon Kruger (who some seem to think can't recruit a lick) could sign them?

:sarcasm:

No Chance. Lon isn't a closer in recruiting.

I realize the admin of this site bends over backwards to accomodate all viewpoints and fans from all schools, but I'm beginning to wonder what point this guy/gal serves here. 9 posts thus far, and here you go:

Putting a guy that couldn't produce at Miss St. as "best of the best" is a reach.

Thinking OU will sniff 3rd in the conference is blind homerism at this point.

Truth hurts...Sorry. Acting like this guy is some amazing coach is blind homerism. He's average it's right there on his resume. Nothing more nothing less.

He hasn't even made it beyond the 1st round of the NCAA tourney 80% of his career. He's had some nice moments, but don't go overboard.

I just think most of his accomplishments are a distant memory and he will be a path back to mediocre. Considering the current state of the program it is a decent hire, but under normal conditions he wouldn't get a call.

Are people really excited about this? Kind of a washed up guy looking to ride a fat contract to retirement from the outside.

While I might not disagree 100% with some of those statements, it's pretty obvious what this poster's agenda is.

And, we don't know what school he favors so we can return the favor. Probably not an aggie - not enough miss-spelled words.

Agenda? Didn't realize that being objective was an agenda. Lon has been mediocre for 15 years and never been a high level recruiter. Sorry I'm not super pumped.

Objectivity is an unattainable goal.

You've done one thing and one thing only, which is to post over-the-top negative comments just to stir up sh*t. Yes, that is an agenda. In my opinion posters such as yourself bring absolutely nothing to the board, however some sites have been known to embrace such "characters" because they can serve to create "controversy" and drive up traffic. If it were my site you wouldn't have even made it to 9 posts. However it's not my site, so troll away.
