A Statistical Peek Into OU's Mediocre Slide

I fear that IF Capel gets another year, that Osby's (projected) performance may buy Jeff yet another year, prolonging the agony.

Does anyone think that Capel is putting way, way, way to much pressure on Osby? I mean he is literally blowing him up as if he is Blake Griffin and I am afraid that if he doesn't pan out then I see him becoming the scapegoat out of this whole thing which is not fair to him.

If Osby is something like 15 points 7 rebounds or something like that. It may not even be enough with the lack of guard talent we've got. I think next year we need an easy, easy overall out of conference schedule. Like one road game against a nobody and a bunch of home games we should win like this year. We still have that Old Spice tournament but we need 10 wins out of conference easily. That could give us confidence to be a bubble team. OSU tried it this year and it didn't end up working.

If Osby is a 15/7 guy next year that means you're essentially replacing Cade Davis with Romero Osby. That's not going to win us any more ballgames.

Capel is hyping up Osby because what other choice does he have. He knows his job is on the line and he needs to generate some hope. Please be serious Osby ain't coming to save the day and he ain't 1/10 the player Blake Griffin is.

OU basketball just makes me depressed.

Billy Tubbs coached at Oklahoma for 14 seasons, and in that time he played 98 league games at home. He lost 7 of them by double-digits.

Kelvin Sampson coached at Oklahoma for 12 seasons, and in that time he played 94 league games at home. He lost 5 of them by double-digits.

Jeff Capel has coached at Oklahoma for nearly five seasons, and in that time he has played 39 league games at home. He has already lost 7 of them by double-digits.

After reading your post, I have changed my mind about Jeff.
