Abdul Is Back

A lot has been talked about taking kids off scholarship. We know that you can do it but maybe the powers that be have said that's not going to be allowed, as long as the player is not in trouble and in good academic standing.

I am truly amazed of how many of you, who have seen Ahmed play maybe a total of 10 minutes in your whole pathetic lives have seen enough to access whether or not he has a chance in hell to be a good player!! And yet you all rip him when/if he decides to rejoin team!!!

I am not a coach but what little I saw of him..I didnt think he was a stiff by any means. Tall, athletic...potential to be a really good shot blocker,,,obviously needs to put on some weight.

If some of you would put as much effort into being somewhat positive and supportive of this program as you do ripping the players/coaches and trying to be funny (believe me, none of you are) by inserting stupid little animated video clips, etc to prove your worthless points, then the world would be a much better place....I promise!!

I know, I know...all of you have the right to say, do, rip whoever you want...so please continue!!

Lippman: And, anyway I was just reading your final edit, um, there seems to be an inordinate number of exclamation points.

Elaine: Well, I felt that the writing lacked certain emotion and intensity.

Lippman: Oh, "It was damp and chilly afternoon, so I decided to put on my sweatshirt!"

Elaine: Right, well...

Lippman: You put exclamation point after sweatshirt?

Elaine: That's that's correct, I-I felt that the character doesn't like to be ch-ch-chilly...

Lippman: I see, "I pulled the lever on the machine, but the Clark bar didn't come out!" Exclamation point?

Elaine: Well, yeah, you know how frustrating that can be when you keep putting quarters and quarters in to machine and then *prrt* nothing comes out...

Lippman: Get rid of the exclamation points...

Elaine: Ok, ok ok ...

Lippman: I hate exclamation points...

Why don't you go talk to a tree and ask it if it cares...I bet if the tree talked it would say "shut the f up"...just a guess
 
Capel is still going to recruit Guards and post players for next season. If they are better than Abdul and Hardrick then we will most likely be saying good bye to at least one of them or both.

A. If I'm labeled a follower because I quoted/replied to two of your comments...well I guess I'm a follower.

B. What does the length of my support have anything to do with this convo?
For the record, I'm only 28 so I suppose I've watched/supported for about 10-15 years and no I don't donate much monetarily. Are you going to get into an aggie conversation about how you have to attend OU to be a real fan? If so save the time it takes to type that pathetically weak argument.

Now let me ask you something...Have you ever played a REAL game of bball? Have you played with/against a lot of D1 players? Do you currently play with some NBA-level talent? Have you ever stepped on the court with a 7-footer?

Just curious because I have. I'm not trying to toot my own horn just trying to prove a point. I may not be qualified to coach the Sooners but I'm qualified to tell you that Ahmed is a bum of a player. I see the same type of big man on a weekly basis. You know the type...a big waste of height.

Oh and since you're such a big "supporter" and "fan"....I'll pose this trivia question for you in regards to one guy that I play a lot of basketball with right now. Here's the question....I chose to play basketball at Tennessee over Oklahoma and Texas (among others) and also played football my last year as a Vol. What's his name?

Doubtful you are qualified to judge D-1 talent. Just because you sat the bench and watched good bball from the sidelines doesnt make you an expert.

chill man. its not that we don't appreciate that he wants to be a sooner. Its just that we have a very limited number of schollies available and this takes one up. If we want to get back to competing in the big 12, all of our schollies need to go to talent that can have an impact. We have enough role players on the team.
