Are these guys going to transfer? I figured one would have by now. I don't see either of these guys getting minutes next year. Maybe Allen.

I thought Allen was going to transfer to OCU (or UCO?) to be close to the mother of his child. Did Capel talk him out of it?

Big O was going to transfer to UCO but is most likely staying as a Sooner now.
Not sure about Hardrick.

I never thought either one of these guys were going to transfer. The Orlando to UCO rumor was posted on here by one guy and everybody just ran with it. He is a senior. He will be one of our only big men. Ryan Wright barely played and then got to play a major role this year. I wouldnt be surprised to see Orlando finish out his career playing 20+ minutes a game as a senior.

As for Hardrick, it's almost like everybody on this board just wants to run him off and really wish that talk would stop. As a HS recruit, he committed early because he wanted to go here. Then he came to every game for 3 years and supported the Sooners. Now he is part of the team and is one of the few Sooners that has gotten into no trouble since he got here. People are calling him a wasted scholarship and saying he should transfer, but he career has barely started. He could very easily put on some bulk and end up being a guy that comes of the bench, plays defense and rebounds and scores an occasional basket. I hate to run a kid off that has done nothing wrong to this point. Plus, we are so lacking for people over 6'6, every forward/center that we run off makes it that much harder to have a decent practice.

Lets just give these two guys a chance.

this.

To be fair the reason a lot of people believed the Big O to uco rumor is that I am pretty sure his girlfriend is a student there.

I am glad O is going to be here he may be able to contribute next season with some of his personal issues sorted out. As far as Hardick goes, I doubt he does much next year, but I don't see why anyone would write him off yet. He may turn into a contributing player over his time here. I think we have some coaches that will hopefully help get the most out of him.

What it really means is we do not really know what is going on at OU...Go Sooners!!!

Hardrick is not a wasted scholarship IF HE GRADUATES. If he graduates he cancels one of Blake, WW, Willis, TMG etc. We need some graduates. Same with the big O, if he graduates.

Hardrick and Allen's scholarships probably depend on how many we can bring in. They seem to be safe but they could just as easily be asked to leave do to several recruits being brought in.

I personally don't know anything about Hardrick except for what I saw in high school. Him not playing his freshmen year was not a shocker. If he could contribute as a senior than it would be worth keeping him around.

very good point. I really like Allen and think he can do some good things on the court, his head is just not with basketball and i don't know if it will ever be.

I agree about Hardrick.
I just can't figure out why the kid hardly played this year.
Even in blowouts he didn't get in. And this team badly needed his size.
Is he that bad? I mean he played 4 minutes all year....why?
As bad as the year was and as bad as injuries were he should have played and got some experience.
