Andrew Bynum Refuses to Work Out for any Team

I suppose Andrew feels teams ought to sign him just on his word... :facepalm

He's not ready to start working out so that's a "headline" story. Any team that wants to make an offer will get all his medical records and of course he will have to pass a physical.

Nothing to see here.

Except that there's this nagging issue of whether Bynum will ever play again, or if he really wants to play. I remember telling a Sixer fan last year that Bynum's injury was more serious than what Philadelphia would care to admit.
Sure enough, he never played a game last year. I think Bynum wants the best of both worlds: getting substantial paychecks without actually playing the games. Caveat Emptor...

Bynum didn't take great care of himself or seem that happy playing basketball when he was winning rings and partying in LA while making eight figures. He seems neither motivated nor healthy; he was really damn good when he was just one of those two things.

His talent makes him worth a flyer, but I can't imagine giving that guy a big guaranteed deal at this point.

I think Philadelphia has moved on. If I were an NBA GM thinking about signing Bynum, I'd sure give them a call and ask why...

Philly has a new GM. It's not the same regime that traded for Bynum. While there are certainly issues with Bynum, I think it's about moving forward with a complete rebuild more than anything.

Andrew Bynum flamenco dancing this April 30th. Seems to be having a good time...

Cleveland just offered Bynum a 2 year, 24 million dollar contract. Team has the option on the second year to protect the team, should Bynum have a great season, and want to bolt for greener pastures after one season...

The league is very short on impact Centers. Now that Howard is off the market, Bynum is probably next on the wish list. While he's coming off injury and a bit of knucklehead, if he is healthy and committed he'd be a valuable piece on any team in the league.

My Mavs are in desperate need of a Center and could make a move for him if he doesn't resign in Philly.
