I am not a member on 247 but they have a thread with info on Austin Grandstaff pertaining to OU.
 
Kids a player. Offers from Zona, Ohio State, and Marquette. Interest from a host of others, including Duke, Georgetown, and Florida.

Kid would be a monster-get for Kruger. Reminds me a little of a Redick type player.
 
I don't get super excited about many prospects, but this is the type of player that could help elevate OU to that next level. I think he can be that good. I was really disappointed when we lost out on him to OSU. I think the kid wants to stay local, and I think he wants to play up tempo. OU can offer him both of those things, and a ton of minutes after his freshman season.
 
This will be interesting to follow. He was in Norman last year for the West Virginia game. I think he also stopped in again this summer, but not 100 percent sure I'm remembering that right.

Was recently offered by Ohio State and Georgetown. His dad, Wes Grandstaff, is a big deal as an AAU coach in Texas.

That's what makes him a good get. He's friends with a lot of top prospects and one of them, don't remember which one, said he would probably be a package deal with grandstaff and go where he went. Still need to get him but it could jump start our program even more then it already is.

247 shows a lot more offers than that. They show Alabama, OSU, UNLV Washington, Creighton, Iowa State, Massachusetts, OU, Oregon, A&M, Western Kentucky and Xavier all having made offers in addition to the teams you mentioned. They also show interest from Xavier, Baylor, Duke, Syracuse and Texas. They list him as the composite number 39 player nationally, the 5th best SG and the 6th best player in Texas. They have four stars with .9844 composite ranking.

Elijah Thomas, right? Just checked out his twitter and he's followed by Crutchfield, Henson and Dante Buford. Thomas is the No. 1 player in the 2015 Texas Class per Rivals.
 
Getting Grandstaff and Thomas would be huge. 247 list Thomas as the Composite 11 player, the number 3 PF and the number 1 in Texas. They show 23 offers for the kid including Kansas, UNC, Louisville, Ohio State, Arizona and Kentucky. Basically this is a guy that can go anywhere he wants.

Yes it was him! I remembered, they've been friends for a while. He was strongly considering OSU when Grandstaff was committed to them. Thankfully he didn't, let's hope we win over Grandstaff to give us a better shot with Elijah Thomas.
 
I know we're speaking in long shot hypotheticals, but let's say Grandstaff commits. Wouldn't we already be at our scholarship limit and not be eligible to get Thomas?
 
unless we sign a late player for this year we will have three scholarships for 2015. we would have room for Thomas and one more,

As things stand today, we have 3 scholarships available for that class, and none have been used.

Not to mention, you have to think we'd find a way to make room for Thomas if he wanted to come to OU. You don't turn a kid like him away.

I was thinking Grandstaff was of the 2014 class. Well, that's potential good news for us.
