The world war going on between Sherri and Pellington has got to be detrimental to the team.

If Shaina is transferring (and she clearly is) why doesn’t she just quit and move on. I’d tell Sherri to kiss my ass, if I was Pellington, I wouldn’t be at another game.

And why would a head coach do this to a player, even a problem one? Sherri’s just being a controlling *****.

Please don't ever question a HOF coach & her tag-along assistant son.Pellington is probably hitting the transfer trail next year,so just another player that could make this team better will be gone.

If she transfer this will be yet another clear indication SC is a worthless coach and can't bring in or keep talent when she miraculously lands it. I don't blame Shaina for leaving if she does. She basically wasting her second season here. Poor girl...

Freshman of the year. One of the top three players on the team.

You know funny enough going into this season I thought to myself, 'Anna, Shayna, Maddie, maybe even Tatum would make for a highly competitive frontcourt and we might even be able to hang with Baylor this year...' what a freaking joke that was. Wishful thinking. SC always finds a way to disappoint!

Does anyone know what it is about?

Shaina simply refuses to learn what to do on defense. Her man is able to break down the defense at will. Lot of layups when she's on the court. Although she can get to the rim, she can't do it every time, and nothing happens if she doesn't go to the rim. She really doesn't look to set anyone up. It's all individual. Notice that she isn't even talking to the other players.

Another big game with no minutes for Shaila. I think we can all agree that she is going to be gone!!! I don't blame her.

She has to stay eligible to transfer so she must finish the semester. It will all be over soon.

Sherri made a statement earlier this year that all her practices are open they just don't publish the times. I think I call their office get the practice times just to watch Shaina and Sherri interact. That could be interesting for a little while.

Thanks for the info Speedy!

Speedy is right again. She doesn't want to do anything to invalidate her grant-in-aid/scholarship. And she needs to stay academically eligible. Don't give SC any reason to dismiss her from the team.

Spock, if you get the schedule, I’ll go with you and I promise to be a good boy.

That should be interesting, I am not sure there will be any basketball played. Today was another 26 turnovers - Shaina is innocent because she didn't play. Robertson didn't take a shot today. You would think they might run a screen or two to get her open.

Sherri & Colton prefer only 7-9 players on the team

With the introduction of multi-year scholarships at Power 5 schools it is much more difficult to pull a scholarship. Basically it can not be done for poor athletic performance and done for basically non-athletic reasons as follows:

Cancellation or non-renewal IS possible if an athlete:

. Is ruled to be ineligible for competition;

. Provides fraudulent information on an application, letter of intent, or financial aid agreement;

. Engages in serious misconduct that rises to the level of being disciplined by the university’s regular student
disciplinary board;

. Voluntarily quits their team; or

. Violates a university policy or rule which is not related to athletic conditions or ability (such as a university
policy on class attendance, or an athletic department policy regarding proper conduct on a team trip).

as I've been saying youth can only be blamed for so much.. the fact that they still have 26 turnovers a game at this point in the season can't rest entirely on youth. It's horrible coaching. What exactly is she doing during the practices to where these players are not improving? And don't blame the team on the fact that Robertson is not getting open entirely, some of this has to be blamed on her lack of athleticism and ability to get open. great shooter, below average athlete I would say. Most of the team is either an athlete but a poor basketball player, or a decent basketball player but not much of an athlete. Do we have one player that is both? Maybe Madie? Will she be willing to stay around long enough hoping the team gets better around her? If it were me I would not....What if she never sees an NCAA tournament in her four years here? that would be quite a shame and if it were me I would regret committing to a university with those kinds of results.

I was focusing on this aspect of quitting the team right now. She has to go through the motions or she could lose her scholarship.

They've cleaned it up, but stranger things have happened.

No question there will be coaches trying to beat the system when they cannot convince the student-athlete to transfer and want that 'ship available but it is going to be much more difficult for them than in the past.
