Baylor edges Winthrop

And yet, even though he/she want her considered on OU hoops, Sybarite never misses a chance to vilify Kim M. And although a paragon of academic rigor, Syb's cherry-picking "research" of Lady Bear failures yields what? 5 or so young women who doesn't meet the Syb Standard? Lets not forget that OU WBB players have left school unhappy, broken the law and washed out for various reasons. And not all of them are experts at elocution, either. My soul, these are fallible young adults.. Should the blame for their missteps and failures to reach potential always lay at the feet of their university?
K. Mulkey isn't going anywhere... she will retire at BU.. and the way she's recruiting she will contend for more banners-- Big 12 and Natty.
Meanwhile I'm not near ready to start writing Sherri's coaching obit...I know the competitive fires still burn bright in SC and with more signees like Dungee, Nancy, Ana , et. al the Sooners can return to prominence...

Right on Pastor!! +1

Wow...The NY Post, huh? Now that's a venerable institution of journalism...
Robin Williams once said his stand-up routine: If you placed your cat on a copy of the Post, the cat wouldn't s**t on it, because that would be redundant...

Haha, don't worry Syb is just a blind tub thumper that believes the sexual assaults at Baylor are directly related to Kim and her coaching methods. It's extremely comical:ez-roll:

It is a part of the hypocritical atmosphere of Baylor.

Do you not have a Baylor board on which you would be popular? On other boards, you are more likely to be a target of derision.

Then, there is a lesson on taste. When Baylor was the whipping boy of the conference, were there OU fans on the Baylor boards to tell Baylor that OU was superior to Baylor? Were there even Baylor boards? As far as I can tell, there are no OU fans that go to the Tech boards and ridicule Marsha Sharp. She is given courtesy and respect, and even retired with OU wearing jerseys paying tribute to her.

You cite inoref, a poster who is about the same on the men's and women's board, more like a troll simply wishing to stir up nonsense. Haven't seen anything positive from inoref yet, or any reason to pay attention to him. But, you look to the negative posters to side with you in your constant trespassing on the OU boards.

Courtesy. Respect. Something lacking from Baylor since the days of Grant Taeff.

You're one of if not the most negative posters on the site..I couldn't care less if you ignore me or not..I mean you are you anyway.

I'd like to say I'm shocked that Sulky Kim would send her minions to other schools boards to defend her, but not surprising at all! She's THAT gal! Still waiting for NCAA/Big 12 to kick out this hypocritical institution! Sorry as I've ever seen!

Kick out your biggest rival and greatest competition in the conference? Really?? That's just more blind tub thumping or plain stupidity! How do you expect to ever get better or improve?

You just don't get it. We don't consider Baylor a rival, or even a legitimate contender, any more than you would consider a bank robber a businessman.

You don't but I believe you are in the minority!! Best of luck fighting for 3rd place!

You can prove me wrong by polling the other conference schools. From what I have seen on the Big Twelve board, Baylor's absence would be treated quite positively.

Syb!!

Please don't be so disrespectful to bank robbers!

Comparing them to KM is really unkind.

:ez-roll: :ez-laugh: ;)

Knew it would be only a matter of time before you would throw in your irrelevant 2 cents!! Can definitely see why Norm left.....

Just wondering..how many of the Baylor players did Sherri try to bring in ?

Last won the regular season crown in 2009 and the tournament championship in 2007. So 7 and 9 years respectively. Too damn long for a $1 million dollar coach!

In the last 10 years OU has won 3 crowns (2 regular season in 2007, 2009, 1 tournament in 2007). During the same period Baylor has won 13, Texas A&M 3, KSU, Nebraska and West Virginia each 1 which include regular season ties in 2007 and 2014.

So. We'll put you down in the "sports titles mean everything" as opposed to "the responsibility of a university is to teach" group.

lol folks on here pretty much say what they want because it's in a respectable way... but I don't think we should alway bring up what Sherri is making because it's not necessarily anyone's business. Maybe it's public information or you can google her salary, but I don't think people should be so quick to bring that up... hell some of the workers at my job make to much for the work they do, but hey that's not my place to tell my employer what they should or shouldn't be making...

2010 was our last final four run... that's 6 years ago, but that's a pretty long time on the recruiting front, when you think about how young the kids were today and it makes since why our recruiting has been lackluster with the lack of success... when OU had Paris and then later D rob I would say we're our best teams. I never got to see Dales play only in her game vs Uconn 2002 championship, but of course any Sherri team with a dominate player goes along way in giving her success. If Sherri can land a top 10 kid for 2018 it'll go a long way... it could also be the last age group of kids who can remember the good ole days of OU since most of them should have been around 10.

http://www.espn.com/womens-college-basketball/rankings/_/year/2010/week/17

This is the final ranking poll for that year, you'll notice most of the programs that were the best of the best have remained near the top half of basketball by recruiting great players.. yes there are some new teams in the mix, but OU has fallen well away from a top 10 team... I would say OU, Rutgers, North Carolina, Duke and Georgia have fallen out that elite tier. It doesn't help OU that both Baylor and Texas continue to bring in elite talent just makes our climb back to the top that much harder... both schools are out to a strong start for 2018 and OU hasn't gotten anyone.

Big Twelve starts today, and OU has two outstanding freshmen this year with some good ones coming in next year. So, are we discussing the game on tap tonight? No, we're still complaining about the same thing that the complainers have been complaining about since the board was created.
