Baylor (more trouble)

LD definitely has the Kobe "I'm a big man b/c I abuse women" thing going for him for sure. And he also has Jordan's knack for hitting people close to them in the face (Steve Kerr) and having it covered up by everyone. In that sense only is he like Kobe/Jordan.

The Baylor and UF fans are so freaking pathetic right now. Threatening and/or punching a woman in the face deserves ridicule not sympathy. Tell us, oh great DFW, what would you do if Dunn had punched your daughter or wife in the face? Would that be a "learning experience"?

BTW- I know quite a bit about the Perea situation from sources at IU and I can tell you that this is not the only incident regarding the Baylor staff and Perea. The Baylor staff is regarded as scum by most coaching staffs across the country.

As for Crean, he's still cleaning up Sampson's mess and is progressing. They were much better last year until Creek, their leading scorer, broke his kneecap. He's winning his fair share of recruits and does it by the book, unlike Drew and his pathetic band of cheaters.

I approve this message!

you only know what your little minion friends in Indiana are telling you. The Baylor staff is considered scum because they go after good players. The Baylor recruitment of Perea was dirty? They discovered the kid and wanted to help him get to the US. Indiana coaches are trying to poach off the work that the Baylor coaches have done. What is dirty about that? Give me a break- like Indiana is entitled to recruits just because some AAU coach is cozy with them. Morefield got backstabbed- bottom line. Colleges try to steer kids all the time to friendly environments.

Baylor didn't know Mark Adams' son was going to get hired by Indiana to be on staff. People were raising hell when Baylor hired an AAU coach's brother. I guess it is different to hire an AAU coach's son. I thought the NCAA passed a rule forbidding that in the Spring- hiring an AAU coaching relative and then having the AAU coach steer players to that school. Guess I don't understand all the loopholes. Perhaps Drew Adams was grandfathered in. High school coaches and AAU coaches want to be in good standing with the state school. Now that is a newsflash...

The recruitment of good players is always accusation filled. I do have a wife and a daughter and of course I deplore violence towards women. As a father, I would probably want to show less mercy than I would as an outside observer to any situation. This is why we have things like due process and laws. If it was left up to families of the people involved to decide punishments, we would have vigilante justice. This is the country we live in and we play by those rules. When you form your own country, you can make up your own rules.

Indiana poached off Baylor? Do you follow recruiting? The only thing you know is what's spoon fed to you from the Scott Drew boot lickers at Baylor desperate to be relevant in anything other than Track. Indiana looks at Baylor like the trashy, non-winning program that it is. Scott Drew is REVILED throughout the coaching community for his unethical practices. Duke, KU, UCLA, UT, etc. all go after great players and yet people respect those programs b/c they don't do this crap.

As for beating women, I really feel sorry for your wife and daughter if you really have that view of things. You're truly a pathetic human being and a disgrace of a man if you justify violence toward women at any time and context. You're just as bad as LD's GF's dad who is excusing this to cash in. You know it, I know, and everyone who doesn't have their head up Scott Drew's cheating butt knows it, but you're too chicken to call it like it is b/c you don't really care b/c he can help your program.

Don't give me the due process BS; I'm a lawyer and understand completely the concept that you're distorting. The ONLY DP issue here is that LD is an athlete, just like the pot smokers under Briles that didn't miss any time after being arrested last week, and he got a break from the school that NO OTHER regular student would get. How do I know? b/c I've represented non-athletes in similar situations that were innocent and it always took over a semester or a year to clear them.

tough guy internet talk. Perhaps we can meet face to face some day and we will see how bold and brash you are. You can tell me about all of your expertise in recruiting, basketball and law and detail to me what a pathetic human being I am. I will sit at the feet of the master and take notes. PM me and I'll give you my contact information and we can arrange that. I have a few follow up points that I would like to make to you when we meet face to face.

:clap:clap:clap

Definitely post of the week.

If you two do in fact meet and have what I'm presuming would be a "stand off", can someone record it and post it on the board? It would be much appreciated.

High comedy.

Threatening a fight b/c you have absolutely no argument to make? Pretty typical for a Baylor fan- lots of talk with nothing behind it. Once again, your complete lack of reading comprehension and rational thought is up for all to see. I really couldn't care less about Baylor, it's basketball program or anything related to it, but I do care about women being abused and the scum of the earth that justifies is. I said the same thing about Chaisson going to OU and I'm definitely calling you out for supporting a woman beater.

If you want to get in a debate on law go ahead. Recruiting and basketball, that's fine with me too. You present one side of the story and then act like a little girl when someone with contacts on the other side of the story (or with actual knowledge) challenges you; then you threaten to fight. Typical response from the mentally weak and those that have to compensate for their other weaknesses. Let me break down your argument: I'll threaten a poster on a website that calls me out for being okay w/hitting women if it helps my team, but I don't respect women enough to call a spade a spade. Nice.

This isn't tough internet talk, it's about human nature and respect. I specifically called you a pathetic individual b/c you are justifying a 6'4" 210 lb. grown male athlete hitting a woman in the face and breaking her jaw. You are a disgusting pig for defending LD the way you have, esp if you really do have a daughter. HE HIT A WOMEN IN THE FACE. What else do you need to know? Answer my question coward: What would you do if LD hit your wife or daughter?

If Landry Jones, Demarco Murray, or even Bob Stoops himself hit my wife or any of my 3 daughters they'd better pray the police got to him first. I don't care who it is, you hit a woman you're scum. If you justify that abuse b/c it helps the basketball program you follow, it makes you pathetic.

wow- you are taking the tough talk up a notch. Well done. I didn't threaten to fight you. I didn't justify what Dunn did. I never attacked you personally- your character or integrity. You have some anger issues towards me and I just want to give you a chance to vent them. What happens after that depends on how the conversation goes I suppose. I won't respond to any more posts that you make. But my offer stands to meet and settle it mano y mano.

I assume you realize it still sounds like you are trying to fight him right?

...but not to fight, right? Just want to clarify.

Thanks.

All I've asked you to do is tell me what you would do to LD is it was your daughter or wife and you can't answer b/c you'd be a hypocrite. In my line of work I see abused women on a regular basis and try to protect them against the "men" that beat them. The worst thing is that the ones that go back to that abuse are the ones surrounded by enablers who say the same thing about "one time thing", "he'll never do it again", "he'll learn from it", and "he's really a good guy he just has a small problem." You're defending a woman abuser, and that's what he is. I've NEVER seen a man who hit a woman once that never did it again.

If someone will point the way to the OUHoops playground we can settle this then. ;)

no problem with your last post OUHoosier. I can understand where the anger is coming from if you have experience with battered women. My life has crossed paths with those situations as well in counseling situations. I'm not defending what Lace did. I don't dispute that he hit her- wrong under any circumstance. Of course if it was my daughter or wife, I would be furious to the point of wanting to kill someone for retaliation.

That being said, there are two sides to every story. That's my only comment on Lace. Domestic abuse is a sad and unfortunate state of many families. Women are not always innocent of wrongdoing in the escalation and fights that occur. Again not justifying. But I do believe wholeheartedly in grace. Just as I desire to show grace to you for calling me a despicable human being :) I'm glad that I have received second chances for dumb ass stuff that I have done in my life. Should one action in the heat of the moment define a person's life forever? If Dunn has a pattern of this, different story. But that is not the case (I do know that to be factual). And if it happens again, he is gone.

Let the people at Baylor make the decision. They have the facts. And the professors and students that are on the disciplinary panel... most of them could care less about athletics. They will make a decision on Lace just as they would any other student accused of a similar act.

And FYI- to say you could care less about Baylor and this situation is disingenuous. You don't post emotionally charged messages on a message board about stuff you don't care about. At least I don't...
