I don't understand why people are placing so much emphasis on Capel's job and the game Saturday. Why does one game have so much importance on whether or not he stays? Shouldn't the (your) opinion be formed already? Thoughts?

Common sense says yes but some people are always looking for lame excuses to justify their opinion. If Jeff is allowed to comeback for another season, the same people will be making the same weak excuses for him. If Joe decides to bring Jeff back for another season in Norman, his butt better be on the line along with JCs. The days of Joe getting a free pass are over.

People that want a change made that decision way before this Saturday. I didn't want him back after last year mainly because of the every year stream of defections and observations of poor coaching decisions.

For those who still don't advocate a change they are looking for any reason to support their stance.

I agree, Bedlam should have very little impact on the decision.

I agree. The damage is already done but we need to beat aggy at home.

This is where you lose all credibility.

I agree.

OU may win this game b/c 1) osu simply isn't that good, 2) it's senior night, and 3) it's a home game.

Doesn't mean squat about our coach.

Yea, I'm sure that's EXACTLY what Boren and the Board of Regents is thinking.:ez-roll:

+1

(I bet Joe C. is quaking in his boots because someone on the internets said he doesn't get a free pass!)

Yup ahahahah, Sid did Joe C run over your dog? If capel gets fired now or next year or he turns it around, Joe C will NEVER be in trouble for the basketball team. Y is this so hard for you to understand. I am pretty sure everyone else on here has realized that basketball and Joe C's job are mutually exclusive yet, you continue to think and say, over and over again, that they are interconnected. Can u explain so maybe I can understand b/c all you do is dodge me when I ask these ?'s.

"bedlam doesn't matter"

Is this really what our fanbase has come to????

He/She definitely should have phrased that better. Bedlam always matters. But one game should not be the deciding factor for Capel IMO.

His point is correct. I still think Capel should be fired after this season no matter what. 9 conference wins in the last 2 seasons is pathetic. 26 wins in 2 seasons is pathetic. Winning 24% of your final 5 regular seasons and 41% of your last 10 games in 5 years is pathetic. The final game of John Blake's regime didn't matter if we won or lose. I feel the same way about this years final games I hope we kick butt in Bedlam, but it really won't change much IMO.

There are a lot of stupid human beings on this board. It's kind of embarassing. No wonder like 200 people show up to OU Men's games.
