Bedlam Part 1 2pm CST on ABC

I, like many others on this board, have been really critical of Reaves during conference play.....but he is playing well today. His defense has been good and he has 6 rebounds to go along with 4 assists. That is really good all-around contribution.

Doo doesn’t have his silky touch today but has made some nice assists.

Disagree with Fran. The rule does not allow you to step through the defender.

Sorry Fran, you can't clear out a defensive player with high elbows....that was an easy call.

I'm not unhappy with the officials' call, but I think Fran got it right. The offensive player wasn't given the room he needed to turn and make a move.

We will agree to disagree. Manek didn’t interfere with verticality. Their guy took a hard forward move into Manek.

While that rule does apply, bringing your elbows up high enough to hit a 6'10" player in the face is not a basketball move. He led with his elbows. If he had led with his forearms or the ball, I have no question the call would have stood. Can't make first contact to the head/neck area with your elbows. Precedent is pretty clear on that one.

You may be right, op. But if the officials got that call right, they got the previous call that went OU's way wrong.

Waters was more fully in Reaves' cylinder than Manek was in Anei's.

Good W. 4-4 in conference

Also 3 pages in a game thread on a Saturday afternoon. Lol.

Some like to call Reaves a selfish player, but on that last OU basket Austin had an easy layup, but he passed the ball to Brady for the dunk.

I agree. I am not complaining about how either call ended. But you are correct.

I think he's an inconsistent decision maker. Some REALLY bad, some REALLY good.

nice job by Tech getting back into the game after being down 17-2 at the Phog.

Good win. Great shooting and ball movement. Would like to see us be a little more sharp in the last few minutes when we have nice lead. I thought we got a little sloppy in the last few minutes. Boy.....it would be nice to steal one in Lubbock on Tuesday.
