I posted during the game thread but then played with my kid and went to the TU game.

Good win. OSU sucks... 0-8... Manek is awesome. Alondes is the man.

Next game.

OSU does suck but I would not predict a win in Stillwater. I hope we don't end up being their only conference win this year.

If Texas won up there.....we can definitely win there.

Sure we can. But we could have won in Manhattan and didn't.
We know Manek won't score 30 in Stillwater. Doolittle is in a shooting funk. Bieniemy and Harmon will not score much. So that leaves Williams and maybe Reaves to carry us. I'm not hopeful. But there are still 3 weeks for those things to change.

Well, maybe not 75% from distance, but he has no excuse for going 1/5 against a ****ty K State team.

VS K State 4 of 5 shots were in transition. Zero ball movement. ISO ball with Doo setting high pick and roll. Terrible offense. Lon to blame.

As I posted earlier Weber seems to be able to throw a monkey wrench in our offense, particularly in Manhattan.

When Manek only takes 5 shots the offense is not working. That is the big difference. The offense at K-State did not get him open. A guy like him can go 1 for 5 and then hit the next 5. Harder to do on the road.

Williams did better tonight but I think Hill is really key. He seems to play good defense and rebounds well. He seemed to be a good shooter early on but seems real hesitant to shoot now. If we could get him going we have a chance to improve quite a bit.

I believe that Manek played the entire first half. Probably would have benefited with a short rest.

I really don't like the dribbling at half court until the clock is below 10. Need more time to get a quality shot. Don't have to shoot early but get to work sooner.

This has always been a concern for me. I understand when a coach/players want to burn some time off the clock, but under normal circumstances I'd prefer to see the Sooners get into their offense early in each possession. It often takes a major portion of the shot clock to get a good shot, even with the great ball movement we saw today.

No biggie though. It would be dumb for posters to find fault with a double-digit win over their in-state rival. ;)

This is what I noticed.....and one of the commentators on TV made a good point about the last possession of the first half. OSU scored with about 33 seconds left in the half. Instead of inbounding the ball, our player should have waited a couple of seconds to inbound the ball....the game clock continues to run and we wouldn't have had to worry about the shot clock bc it would be the same as the game clock. Not a big detail, but it did end up costing us two points when we fouled them on their possession at the end of the half.

And near the end of the game when we were running clock, there were too many possessions when OU didn't start their offense soon enough. I think there was about three possessions that just ended up as turnovers, not even a shot at the goal.

And it seemed to me when Harmon was running point, the offense stagnated. The ball didn't move as fast or as much. I think JB still does a better job running the point.

And a great game from Williams! Doolittle with a good game....assists and rebounds....still needs to find his shot again. KK adding to his game, he changes our D when he's in the game.
