It's the off-season and the NBA draft is Thursday night. I looked at some mock drafts to see where various B12 players are projected. I thought the B12 had some great PG's but Mason, Morris, and Evans are all projected as mid-2nd rounders because they're all small. Jarrett Allen from Texas is the only projected 1st rounder. Motley and Iwundku were projected 2nd rounders and kind of round out projected draftees from the B12.
I remember when when DeAndre Jordan came out after his freshman year at A&M when they were part of the B12, I thought it was a big mistake. He was drafted in the 2nd round so he didn't get a guaranteed contract so he was able to negotiate his 2nd contact before the 1st rounders did. It turned out he made the right decision.
I keep thinking those 3 PG's are better than some of the NBA backups I watched this year. I guess their lack of size might get them abused on defense, especially on switches.
Thoughts?
