If only we played 7 game seasons
which is the point most of us were making

Your just arguing for arguments sake. Nobody in their right mind would truly believe Capel had any chance at COY after beating 4 hum-drums in the lower half of the conference.
The fact still remain that after 7 gmaes we were 4-3 and on a 4 game win streak while texas was 7-0 and had just givin Kansas their first conference home loss in years. Barnes after 7 games was Big 12 COY the year, just like now he is still Big 12 COY. Its a sad day but we have to give credit where credit is due.
But we were THIRD!!!!!
Just ask SBounce

I think it is actually your comprehension skills that are bad. Everyone gets what you are saying, they just think it was/is stupid. At this point, I am actually debating about whether you are stupid or just have a stupid opinion. Does this help?
This board is a really fun place to be these days.

really? AT THE MOMENT, the team picked to finish 11th in the conference and to at the most have a couple conference wins, was tied for third and had one 4 games in a row and just beaten baylor. I don't think it is unreasonable to think that if the season had ended then, the capels name would be brought up
Why are you arguing over the original intent of a thread you didn't post in until two weeks after it began? You weren't even involved in the original discussion, yet you're attempting to define it here (going so far as to explain what "we" were discussing, when you obviously weren't part of the discussion).
It's unreasonable to believe Capel would've been a serious contender for the award, and it's irrelevant anyway (and not the point people were making at the time... the thread clearly was speculating on what he'd need to do over the final nine games to win it).
i agree. I never said that capel should have have or will win it. Just said that at the moment, given the circumstances, his name should be mentioned
I'm sorry, this is 2011 and not 2010 so last years Baylor team doesn't have any bearing on this years team. Drew is a craptacular coach and most every season other than last year or his first year would be considered as underachieving. So, the blind squirrel found a nut last year, it still doesn't change the fact Baylor has only beaten OU 3 times in history, and all 3 of those are within the last 2 years. It's also no secret Baylor is horrible on the road.
