Big 12 Tournament | Oklahoma vs. Oklahoma State | Game Thread

Knight would have instead of a chair he would have thrown half the team out the gym
Kelvin ripping his sport coat off and strangling the team with it would be more entertaining.

Does anyone really want to watch this stand around, motionless, dribble behind the arc, offense any longer? Throw in the defense and you have the perfect 1-2 punch to your own face.

Never again.

Name a player on this team that has a good basketball IQ? To me the answer to that question explains the performance of this basketball team.

You would likely have to piece meal players together to accomplish that feat and it's quite sad.

How many wide open threes or layups did TY set up for our players tonight and they couldn’t hit the ocean from the beach. The last 5 or 6 games TY should have averaged about 20 assists if he had decent players around him. OU will get in as a 10 seed and it will be interesting to see if refs outside of the Big-12 will call all the fouls on players as they hit TY on his drives. He had 3 or 4 drives where he finished but Easily should have been and ones but NO call. The refs let TY get man handled the 2nd half of the conference and that is a shame.

And by the way, Lon is one of the most competitive people in the world. Go look at him when he was 2 time Big-12 player of the year and led K-State - tons of fire and what a talent. Could have played pro in 3 sports. Don’t just assume that because he doesn’t show it on the outside that he doesn’t care. He is a great man and a great coach, has done something no other coach has done with all the programs he has taken to the tourney. I respect him a ton and I believe he will evaluate things and if he has the energy I think he will make some changes and take us deep in the tourney the next few years. I also think he is such a great man of integrity that if, in his evaluation, he doesn’t think he has it he will step aside. And Joe C will absolutely let Lon be the one who decides so all of you board typing maniacs can chill because you have no influence on what happens.

James, Doolittle, McNeace, and McGusty combined.....4 starters = 15 points And yet some perpetuate the myth that this team is "talented" outside of Trae. Nope, this team has pretty much sucked outside of Trae and have proven that against the competition in the Big 12. And for those who bring up recruiting rankings...then it must be Lon who has done an abysmal job developing the "talent" and coming up with a plan/formula for this team to succeed in the conference season.

The main problem is that if this team doesn't make 3s or get to the FT line, then there is no backup plan or contingency alternatives. Lon, apparently, doesn't demand the effort needed (on defense and rebounding) in order to be successful when "shots" aren't falling.....the results speak for themselves.

A number of the players seem to focus only on the one thing they do well and don't seem interested in placing the same focus on the other aspects of the game. With Jamuni it's the turn around shot from close in, Lattin and his blocks, Odomes and his driving to the basket (to the left, to the left, to the left), Manek and his outside shot, Kam and his head fake to get off a shot, Doolittle with his getting open only to pass and so on and so on and so on.

Nothing was different tonight than anytime in February. Never led, no effort, down double digits most of second half. They really should be embarrassed, but that would involve having some degree of pride.

Amen! Dribble offense with everyone standing is awful! Looks like Lon is doing everything to cater to CJ & Cam for next year. Pick and pop offense with TY and Manek was much better and we did not run it one time. If Manek is hot early like tonight at least give it a try. This current offense is dreadful. Blame this loss on Lon!!
