Big 12 tournament projector...

I'd like a rematch with Kansas State in the second round.

My first stab had ISU taking first, KU second, and OU third. That is with ISU winning out, I think, and OU beating KU, but losing to ISU.

That had us taking on OSU in our first game.

That would also be my guess, but worst case I had us lose to KU, too, and we would then play WVU in the first game as the 4 seed and #1 KU next.

Ok soo just did a projection based on these results:
Mar 2-4
Iowa St W
Oklahoma

Texas W
Baylor

Kansas
W Virginia w

Okla St W
TCU
March 6-7

Baylor w
Texas Tech

Oklahoma W
Kansas

TCU
Iowa St W

Texas W
Kansas St

W Virginia W
Okla St

And these are the standings and would be the seedlings based on those results.
1. Iowa State (12 - 6) Defeated Oklahoma, West Virginia, and Kansas based on round-robin record.
2. Oklahoma (12 - 6) With West Virginia, defeated Kansas and lost to Iowa State based on round-robin record. Defeated West Virginia based on record against #5 teams.
3. West Virginia (12 - 6) With Oklahoma, defeated Kansas and lost to Iowa State based on round-robin record. Lost to Oklahoma based on record against #5 teams.
4. Kansas (12 - 6) Lost to Iowa State, Oklahoma, and West Virginia based on round-robin record.
5. Baylor (11 - 7)
6. Oklahoma State (8 - 10) Defeated Texas and Kansas State based on round-robin record.
7. Texas (8 - 10) Defeated Kansas State and lost to Oklahoma State based on round-robin record.
8. Kansas State (8 - 10) Lost to Oklahoma State and Texas based on round-robin record.

None of which are that far out. I honestly wouldn't mind this finish ONE bit! I think if we got lucky enough for that to happen we could make it to the Big 12 title game pretty easy. The most "far out" prediction is WV over KU. But hey we can hope can't we?

Very interesting tool. I think it is reasonable to think we can finish anywhere from tied for 1st (2nd due to tie breakers) to 5th in the league. This has been a crazy year.

We can actually still get the 1 seed in a tie with Kansas if Texas beats Baylor in Austin.

Sad to think that if we win isu and ku, we would still be 2nd due to ku sweeping baylor

Is the worst we can do at this point a 5 seed in the Big 12 tourney? That would mean a very tough opening round game with most likely KU if got past that.

Filling it out how I think it will go, I come out with us playing osu as the 3 seed. I think that would be the best thing for us. Looking at everyone I think will be playing in the 2nd round, osu would be the team I would most want to play. I have us beating Kansas on Saturday though so obviously that will change things if we don't.

I submitted a scenario this morning and this is what I got back:
Big 12 Standings

1. Kansas (13 - 5)
2. Iowa State (12 - 6) Defeated Oklahoma based on record against #6 teams.
3. Oklahoma (12 - 6) Lost to Iowa State based on record against #6 teams.
4. Baylor (11 - 7) Defeated West Virginia based on head-to-head record.
5. West Virginia (11 - 7) Lost to Baylor based on head-to-head record.
9. TCU (4 - 14)
10. Texas Tech (3 - 15)

That's the most likely scenario if we win Saturday. Probably get the 4 seed and play WVU if we lose. I like the OSU ISU path to the championship game more than the WVU KU path so Saturday is an important game on many levels.

I don't understand what it is saying about the #6 team. Isn't that OSU and OU swept OSU.

#6 team is actually 6-8 since they are all tied. OU and ISU both swept OSU and Texas, Iowa St went 1-1 against K state and we went 0-2, thus we lose the tiebreak
