Buddy had a big night tonight against the Warriors: 22 points in 33 minutes on 7-of-14 shooting (4-of-9 from deep, 4-4 from the line), with 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 2 steals.
Has to be his best game of the year!

With New Orleans tanking and their pick looking great, that was a really nice trade for the Kings.
It looks like the Pelicans won't even make the playoffs after acquiring Cousins (I think; I don't really follow the NBA. ) I think they have Cousins for 1 more season before he's a free agent but if they don't do anything next year either and Buddy keeps playing well, the trade that appeared to be a great one for NO is going to turn out much better for the Kings.
He wasn't resigning with Sac, so they were absolutely right to trade him. Only question was whether they got a good enough hall, and if Boston didn't offer them any Brooklyn picks, then I don't think they coudl do better than they did. Unfortunately, the Kings will still probably manage to blow their draft picks and Buddy will be stuck in a cesspool for a while, but still.
Not sure where you saw that. From what I heard, he was ready to resign with Sac, wanted all that extra money he could get. They traded him cause they were tired of him running the show, holding the franchise hostage.
Everything I heard, he was upset to leave Sacramento and upset he lost out on 30+ million
Buddy has really been bringing it since the trade. Would not shock me if he's the type of guy that could change the culture of an organization like the Kings. While not as talented as Boogie, he's pretty much the opposite personality wise and a real winner.
The Kings stunk it up against the Pelicans, but Buddy had 13 points on 6-of-9 shooting with 8 rebounds and three assists. He only played 24 minutes; they should have left him in there. If they'd given him 30+ minutes, he might've had a double-double.
Where Buddy appears to be improving the most (besides his 2-point shooting) is his defense. The most important stat he recorded yesterday is a "-4" in 25 minutes. Considering they lost by 28 points, it mean the Kings were very competitive while he was on the floor. McLemore was their leading scorer with 15 points in similar minutes, but he was a -26.
-26 in 25 minutes? My God, man!
McLemore also took 16 shots in those 25 minutes (making six of them).
