"Christopher Columbus was great!"

"How do you know?

"He said so in his diary!"

"What about the dozens of people that contemporaneously testified that he was a vile slaver and brutal dictator?"

"All lying!"

yep, exactly what I said. kudos

Y'all have fun rewriting history. Have a nice weekend. Please don't let your white guilt ruin it for you

I learned a long time ago not to believe anything posted on the internet. Even if you read some of the posts they don't match up well with the alarming headlines. It appears that there are people out there that are really out to hurt people.

The press is 90%+ negative in their coverage of Trump. And almost never gives him credit for anything. Journalism is dead in this country. Freedom of the press is very valuable to journalists. All we need in return is the truth and for them to report on important issues. We are getting nothing but political garbage now. The New York Times issues headline after headline that they retract in the back of the paper. Ditto CNN.

We are in an era that if we don't like someone anything is justified to get them. Even something illegal. Very dangerous.

As for Trump. I don't like his personal attacks. All he has to do is describe behavior factually and most of are smart enough to realize the behavior is stupid. I also wish he had a thicker skin but I have been disappointed at a number of politicians who have held petty grudges. Politics is a rough game.

I also wish he would not embelish things as much as he does. His record is strong enough without the extra oomph.

On the other hand he may be one of the hardest working President ever. He also listens to people. Goes to the source of the disaster rather than just flying over. People claimed he would have us in war immediately but he seems very restrained to me. He retaliation in crisis seems to have been effective. I have benefited with his Presidency. I would rather have a President who gets things done than one who doesn't but would score well with Emily Post.

I am not big on the so called office of the Presidency. I would much rather get things done and make things better for our people. Roosevelt was a little too big government for me but did a brilliant job of preparing for the inevitable war and directing our efforts to defeat very evil forces. But he had a lifetime mistress if you are squeemish about such things. I thought Kennedy was a great President but he also have a string of women on the side. Carter may have been the nicest person to be President but most of you are too young to remember the double digit interest rates and inflation and his dismal outlook on our country's future.

Trump should rise above it more than he has but has been the subject of the Russia collusion hoax that cost us 3 years and millions of dollars when our intelligence chiefs said that they saw no evidence of collusion. And instead of a scope allowance by Mueller to investigate collusion he was given a hunting license for anyone connected to Trump. Coupled with the constant abuse from the press I doubt that any of us know how we would react in similar circumstances.

I seriously doubt that my words will change anyone's outlook but I do wish more people would think a little broader and have more respect for different points of view.

Hard-working? All he does is watch TV and tweet all day and then golf every weekend. He’s so lazy. The White House releases the president’s work schedule every day. His is mostly blank almost every day. I don’t understand how anyone can think he’s hard-working. And I get tired of the “poor little Trump, if only the press would leave the little fella alone!” line. As if he’s the only president who had to deal with the press. Most of the bad press he gets is well-earned. All they have to do is tell us the idiotic thing he said or did that day. Like, “hey you should inject detergent into your body!” What an imbecile.

Also that word you’re looking for is “lies.” He constantly lies, because he’s a toxic narcissist.

What you say makes perfect sense to those who are realists but becomes nonsense to those who pride themselves in comparing everyone to themselves. Word!

Comparing everyone to themselves? What are you talking about?

By the way, yesterday the Trump administration rolled back health care and health insurance protection for LGBTQ people. Are those the kind of results you’re looking for?

Do you see yourself as “hardworking?” You have spent more time on this board than anyone I know in the past four months, including me. One big difference, I’m retired. You’re gainfully employed with, by your own admission, a position of responsibility in a federal facility.

Seems to me you and Donald Trump have a lot in common. ;)

I can tell you only watch cnn. That’s not what happened. That’s not the truth. You were lied to and you swallowed it whole. So predictable. What they did was define the anti-discrimination act as the 2 sexes as defined by science and not what someone “identifies” with. What this means is that you can’t discriminate against anyone. It doesn’t remove any protection. But don’t let that stop you from overreacting and hating trump.

Honestly, trump could cure cancer and you’d still blame him for not doing it soon enough.

You’re just wrong. This allows discrimination.

I’m not the president of the United States. If I was I wouldn’t be live-tweeting TV all day long every day.

One more thing I can be grateful for!

I never said I even wanted to be president but I’d do a better job than the imbecile that occupies the office now. At least I wouldn’t suggest that people inject detergent into their bodies.

Another thing you’re wrong about, I don’t watch CNN, ever

Here, everyone can decide for themselves.

https://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2020/06/12/868073068/transgender-health-protections-reversed-by-trump-administration

They define “sex” as biological male or female. In other words, every human on the planet. It protects everyone against discrimination.

You are willfully ignorant and clearly have TDS which clouds your judgement. Again, you lose credibility with every post.

You think you could be president? Is this based on the lofty heights you’ve reached working in a lab in the VA health system? One of the worst healthcare systems in America?

Delusions of grandeur?

Sure, any imbecile can tweet all day and play golf on the weekends HAHAHA!
