Huh? I've never seen a player leave with all kinds of deficiencies, and come back polished. Normally, they make improvements during the season, work on a few little things during the offseason, and show some more small improvement. All that small improvement is not makes it noticable.
What I see is a little more effort, and better team play, mostly, IMO, due to Willie being gone. That is it in the improvement category. We still can't run anything resembling an offense. We still take a ton of bad shots, and turn the ball over at stupid times. We still can't get stops when we need them. We still don't rebound well. Enlighten me as to the other improvements you see, b/c I'd love to have something to feel better about.
One example of a player improving over the summer would be Stacy King. The difference between Stacy King during his Sophomore year and Stacy King during his Junior year was like night and day.
More effort and better team play don't count as improvement? It doesn't matter why it happens, as long as it does happen. No the defense isn't great but it's a lot better than it was earlier in the year. Individually, TMG, Fitz & Tiny are all better than they were early in the year. though. Consider yourself enlightened.
