That osu/UK game in round 1 would be interesting.

Not super excited about a rematch with SDST in round 2. They may be better this year, same as us.

I really think the 4 seed is ideal for us. Sure, it puts us, likely, up against a 1 seed in the Sweet 16, but it gives us the "easiest" route to the Sweet 16.

A four seed means Palm sees us as one of the 16 best teams in the country. That is huge, especially where this program was three years ago

Agreed, but that's highly unlikely. The NCAA Committee's "Principles and Procedures" manual specifically states: "If possible, rematches from the previous two tournaments should be avoided in the second round."

While Lunardi is generally pretty accurate on the raw seeding, he routinely ignores these types of considerations so his matchup predictions are inherently unreliable.

USA Today bracketologist Shelby Mast has the Sooners as a four seed, with a chance to move to a three seed if we can finish our season on a winning note.

It should also be noted that he has us with eight top 50 wins:

I think Oklahoma now has eight top 50 wins and there’s not too many other teams that have that,” Mast said. “So I’ve got them as a four right now. They possibly could go up to a three if they keep winning. They could end up as a five as well, maybe a six at worst but I don’t see them going lower than that.

By the way, this morning's Oklahoman has a nice article on this topic:

Welcome to the board, bahighroller! You, too, Zimwillett!

I think the only way to get the 3 seed would be to win out, and face KU in the Big 12 Tourney finals. Win or lose that game, the 3 seed might be do-able.

3-seed would be an absolute steal!

Agreed. I'll be thrilled with a four seed, and I won't be unhappy with a five or six seed.

Seems like only yesterday some of us were worried about making it to the NCAA tourney again. A few even thought this team would do no better than get an invite to the NIT. Sure glad our players didn't see it that way! :D

I would be stunned with a #4 seed. When this season began, that much euphoria might suggest a poppy seed.

When this season started I thought it would be a good year if we made the tournament. Even if it was in one of those silly play in games. To think that we might get a 4 (or even 3!) seed is absolutely amazing. Where we are this year is where I hoped we would be next year. Let's hope we close out better than last season with these two games. Second place in the big 12 and high tournament seeding are in play. What a year.

I was one of those people. I thought this would be a step back before a big step forward. VERY glad I was wrong.

As many of you stated, I really can't believe the possible seeds being talked about. I was fully on the wagon to start this year that it was NCAA or bust, as the non-conf and Big 12 schedule really set up for us to get at least 20 wins, and in a tough conference that should get you in.

That said, having an inside track to the sweet 16?! Goodness gracious, Kruger never ceases to amaze me. Would be absolutely elated with a 4/5 seed as we will play someone around our ability for a sweet 16 birth, and the future only looks brighter considering how young we are.

This team has exceeded all my early season expectations too, but based on what I know now, I'd be disappointed if OU fell to a 6 seed. At this point, that would mean a pretty bad collapse in some very winnable games, and this team is just better than that.

As with the football program in the early 2000s, it's time to shed the "battered fan syndrome" now. Kruger has this program back, and it's OK for the fans to expect more.

Give me SDSU...they can't score enough points.

JJ O'Brien and Spangler would trade blows by the end of the game.
