Less shocking then when Bob Stoops announced. Talk about taking the breath out me, lol.

I like Lon as a person. Great man. I'm just ready for something new for OU basketball. This seems like a good time to transition to a new staff. Our roster isn't terrible, but we certainly aren't in a position to make much noise in the upcoming years either.

If this is option 1A, I'd be a little disappointed. He has a decent track record, but nothing flashy. 20-11, 20-12 type seasons just about every year, at all of this stops.

I know he has gotten NT to the Dance essentially the past two seasons, but I don't see a very high ceiling with him at OU.
