Craig Sager Bone Marrow Transplant

I used to serve Mr. Sager when I worked at Mickey Mantle's in NYC some years ago; he came in pretty often when he was in town covering a game. A very nice guy--very genuine, just as he seems on TV. I wish him all the best.

I used to think he was some kind of a clown with his crazy clothes and all, but after I saw how everyone - players, coaches and broadcasters - liked him I decided my first impression was wrong.

My favorite Craig Sager fact is that when Hank Aaron was rounding the bases as he hit his 715th home run, Sager is the one running alongside him down the third-base line trying to interview him on the field.

By all accounts he's a great guy. Hope everything works out this time.

Yeah, I have little use for his wardrobe, but he's definitely a good guy.

MD Anderson here in Houston is an amazing facility with literally thousands of people going thru treatments for various cancers every single day. It's very humbling to observe what's going on and the impact it has on individuals and families. Just seeing the volume of patients going thru there daily is almost overwhelming. I know because I'm an MDA patient, too, and write this as I finish 9 hours of chemo today.

My understanding is Craig Sager is staying in the Rotary House which is the hotel connected with MDA. He stays low profile using room service a lot.

One thing MDA gives a patient is hope and an opportunity to put life into perspective.

I had no idea but keep fighting!! You will be in my prayers.

I have been praying for my friend, usedtobe1, since he told me about his condition several months ago. I'm glad he let everyone know so others can pray for him as well. I believe in the power of prayer!

Pray for his family, too. What he is going through is equally as difficult for them.

Forget the "usedtobe1." You're "Forever1" to all of us at OUHoops. God be with you, brother. Praying for a speedy recovery.

We're all saddened to hear you're going through that, usedtobe1. You will remain in my prayers as well. We're cheering you on behind the scenes.
