That mean Love stays with Cleveland?
Despite the buildup and rumors of the last few years, I think Love is the worst fit for the Lakers of the 4 guys, so I doubt Jordan to LA would make much of a difference. It seems clear that the Lakers plan to build around Randle (and Russell), which makes it hard to see Love fitting into the picture. I think the Lakers would have to strike out on the other three, and Love would have to have a strong desire to simply be in LA.
Would love to see Love to Boston, but after our horrendous draft (no trades), can't see Love wanting to go there.
I actually think Boston is the best fit for him. Cleveland has poorly utilized his assets, so I suspect he wants to go elsewhere, and most contenders wouldn't be able to build their offense around him the way Boston would. Boston is, of course, not much of a contender, but they are easily a playoff team in the East. I think the draft was disappointing, but they have several good defenders, and a defensive-minded backcourt with guys like Bradley and Smart could make things much easier on Love (and vice-versa). Some defensive help in the post would have been helpful, though. Ideally, for Love as a Celtic at least, they could have packaged their insane number of picks to grab somebody like WCS, but he's a great fit with Cousins, so I doubt he's available.
Maybe. It makes sense on paper, but I personally wouldn't want anything to do with the Harden-Howard duo. Maybe he feels differently, though. I think the Spurs are a better option if they clear the space. That will be a challenge, but the same could be said about Houston.
It's all guessing at this point, though. Things could get wild, and it's hard to predict even if the Lakers (the biggest wildcard, as they're potential destinations for everybody) situation was settled. Don't count out the Bucks as dark-horse contenders to grab one of these guys, either. It's not the sexiest franchise, but they would be scary if they added a guy like DJ.
