Couple OK "experts" close to the HS scene 1. thinks KU 1. thinks OU

It is trending National to KU as you can see by the crystal ball. We should know fairly soon. Dad is running this show. So he loves the BlueBloods (ironic bc he went to TT) but also wants Trae to be the "man" so not sure which one will win out.


I still hear OU, but my sources are OUlean people. I hear he wants OU and wants to be that guy that "turns around" or takes over the face of the team.

IF he chooses someone else Cox here will say look I told you so. but thats fictional that we've stopped recruiting him.

Even if they feel they are on the outside looking in, decision should be this month. Doesnt make sense.
 
Norman North doesn't play tonight. I guess we'll know for sure if Trae isn't sitting in the usual recruit section behind the OU bench.

Not saying he won't come to OU but at this point I would say he'll come here once a year playing for another team.

I just found out this week his HS coach, Brian Merritt went to high school with me. I haven't seen him since he graduated (he was a year older) but I'm trying to hook-up with some of his friends to see what they know.
 
The ONLY thing going for us...is I'm sure he sees POTENTIAL and that he'd be the guy running the show....but again, kind of like OU football...if I'm a basketball guy, I'm going to a basketball school....or at least one that is already a top 10 team every year. Especially if I'm only a 1 yr guy.

But who knows..
 
Young would be a difference maker at OU but honestly, he'll be that for anyone he chooses.

This season couldn't have come at a worse time to recruit a 5 star player.

Kruger has never been a top flight recruiter, he has always won with player development and coaching. That's not changing anytime soon.

He is what he is.
 
No way in hell he goes to OU, it's KU all the way. He'll be afraid to go out of the box and look at the future.
 
I have heard we are definitely still in the mix (mostly due to his parents want him to play at OU or at least his mom does). No way Trae doesn't see the potential of our team, we have really talented young players. I personally don't see Trae as a one and done, maybe two to three year player. I think it is important to see who you will be playing with those years. I think it is tough on players looking at schools such as Kansas because they really don't know who they will be playing with next year. Jackson, Mason and Lucas are all gone. However, playing for a blue blood school is attractive and would understand going to one.
