Dids this season turn out better or worse

You said 3/4 games so I showed 4. Even if I had shown 3, it still would have disproved your point.

Maybe next time you shouldn't say "3/4 games"...just a hint. :clap

3/4 = 75%

Not three or four. If I wanted to say three or four, numerically, I'd have said 3-4.

3/4 does not mean the same thing as 3-4.

Like others, I think I was around 18 wins.
I would say we did better but it still doesn't make the 3 bad losses sting any less. Hell, I'd say the collapse @UT and the debacle @TCU were far worse than an early loss to SFA.

Thinking about this team at 22-8 just...defies my pre-season expectations.
If only...
But as is, if we make the NCAA I'd have to say I am perfectly pleased with this season.

I don't think I could have guessed Osby would have played as well as he has.
He didn't show me a whole lot last year. Hopefully M'Baye has a similar progression.
But methinks Romero just has the perfect attitude to go with his ability.

lol buddy is an awfull 3 point shooter. No need to argue that point and try to change what the original poster said and meant. :facepalm

Sure you meant to say "75% of the games"... :facepalm

Besides, my original point still stands. Buddy has an impact on the game in other facets than just offense. He can play solid defense, he makes assists, he steals the ball, he rebounds, etc. Regardless of what he's done efficiency wise on offense, he has still had a better freshman season than your boy Pledger who didn't even know what the word defense meant.

My take away from this season is that OU performed better than expected because they were a team, not because of any one or two individual performers. Therefore I wouldn't expect to big of a drop off next season.

You have slowly become one of my favorite aggie posters. However, that may not bode well for you. :p

Go back and read my post. Which makes more sense.....75%, or three or four?

.....he has still had a better freshman season than your boy Pledger who didn't even know what the word defense meant.

You can thank Capel for that. Had Pledger played for Kelvin or Lon from day 1, he probably wouldn't generate the "angst" that some of you have for him.

I don't have any angst for him. I have no problem recognizing his improvement.

He would have never played for Sampson and I doubt Lon would have recruited him so thats a bad statement.

also he is 42-104 from the field. which is .404

which puts him as our 7th most efficient offensive player.

straight off the big 12 website.

Buddy is 6-37 in conference play from 3. thats .162
How exactly is that good? I question alot of your posts.

Please read my previous post and don't hit reply until you do. :ez-roll:

Are you looking at the most recent OU-Texas game? If so, that's why it says 0-0.

And, I never once said he's a great 3 point shooter. I recognize and have said on this site before he's not a good 3 point shooter...yet.

So, please pay attention and don't put words in my mouth.

As well he has taken the 4th most shots on the team. while being hurt for a few games. (in conference play)

Basketball is about more than offense.

He's also 2nd in FT%
3rd in rebounds
3rd in offensive rebounds
3rd in rebound avg
1st in steals
5th in blocked shots

That's why he plays. That's why he has a bright future at OU. That's why he has a bigger impact on the game than just scoring.

How many times do I have to make this point before you knuckleheads can comprehend it? :p

Again, show me where I said he was a good 3 point shooter? Or even a good shooter.

I just made it easy for you. I didn't.

I completely get that and im on the same page with you in regards to that. However you seemed to attack another poster regarding his offensive efficiency when in reality he is not a good offensive player right now.

Attack? I replied.

He said:
There was a stretch of games before his injury where 3/4 games he simply wasn't getting it done efficiently on offense, but was still taking more shots than he should have been.

I took his "3/4" to mean the 3 or 4 games previous to the KU game not 75%. So, I took the stats from the 4 previous games and posted them and he was not inefficient in those games.
