Late to the party, but this team absolutely out performed my expectations for this year. As others have said, about 18-19 wins or so, 5-6th in the Big 12 and just missing the bubble and going to the NIT is what I was going to be happy with for the season. Just a continuation of watching Kruger improve the program.
However, 11-7 (should be 12-6 dammit) in conference, 4 seed in tourney, darn near lock for NCAA tourney and working on seeding, turning Osby to all-conference, getting 3 freshman to add serious value their first season? I've been blown away this year. Until I see otherwise I'll trust his evaluations of incoming recruits and how they fit in the TEAM aspect of the game and not their ranking. We have a purpose, a gameplan for each team. Do we have some stinkers? you bet, but what group of 18-22 year old kids doesn't? It's night and day for me as I went through college during the capel years, and sans the Blake years it really hurt my basketball passion after growing up watching Kelvin. So happy to have Lon at the helm
