FSW2 or UVERSE ch 651 has already announced that Duke at OU will be on next weekend. I think they said 3:00 Saturday.

Today we shot 25% BTA. Unless we shoot 35% or better against Duke and equal them on the boards, I doubt we can beat them. I hope we use a lot of trapping defense too.

Creighton played tough exterior defense and gave up the middle. Sharane and Nicole G took advantage of that (along with Vegas and her 10 rebounds...). We have the ability to make plays at any position this year.

Duke does have a +15 average rebound margin. We average 8 more 3pt attempts, 10 more free throw attempts, 1.5 less turnovers, and 4 less assists per game. They average 87.8 points per game, we average 85.1. Their ppg is skewed by the 123 they scored against powerhouse USC Upstate.... They did beat #9 Cal at Cal by 12.

The Duke-OU game will be televised by Fox Sports 1.

I just hope we can stay close to them.

Well, I predict an OU victory. I could be completely off base, but I can't see how the Dookies could be that much tougher than Louisville, which we should have beaten in regulation.

Yesterday's game aganst Creighton notwithstanding, Sherri's girls can be awfully good at LNC.

We are getting good production from Griffin right now but we will have to have some outside shooters to get hot and we will have to be close in rebounding. I also think we will have to play a lot of 1/2 court trapping defense to disrupt Duke. If we do those things, we could beat the Dookies.

Sherri also said from top to bottom she felt Duke had the best talent in the Country. We will have our work cut out to beat this bunch but it will be a good measuring stick of where we are just like Louisville was but ofcourse than we layed.the egg at UCLA.

A friend told me that Duke shoots 44% from BTA compared to OUs 28%. They also rebound very well. We have to improve dramatically in both areas in order to stay close. If we don't make some outside shots I expect Duke to sag inside and dare us to shoot.

It's unlikely Duke will shoot 44 percent behind the arc all season, and (I'd guess) equally unlikely that OU will continue to shoot just 28 percent. Not taking anything away from the Dookies – they obviously are very talented. But percentages have a way of evening out over the course of a season, and I still believe the Sooners are potentially a very good three-point shooting team. Vegas' stroke will return – hopefully sooner rather than later – and the shots will eventually start falling for Morgan, Nicole and a few others.

I agree that Duke will not likely shoot that well all season and neither will OU shoot that poorly all year. I believe Aaryn could start shooting well any day. I am not as hopeful that Morgan, Sharane, or Kornet will come out of their slump in the next couple of weeks, although we certainly need them to.

The great thing about playing this game now is that we will be challenged both offensively and defensively by a very deep team with some extremely talented players. Duke has one of the best point guards (Gray) and one of the best centers (Williams) in the country. This will be a great advantage heading into conference play where we will be up against some very talented point guards (Sims, Bias, Moody) and centers (Bussie, Christofferson, McGee-Stafford).

Duke is probably the deepest team in the country, so it is definitely going to be a great challenge for our ladies. It should be a measuring stick for both teams, and if we play well it will be a great boost of confidence for the remainder of our season.

These are the type of games that will get us ready for conference and the NCAA tournament. Know one in this conference has played near the schedule this team has played. It will pay off.

Can Duke get into Norman?

Since the game is on Sunday, they wouldn't normally arrive until Saturday. It might depend of if they fly commercial or charter. Commercial would probably have to come through DFW. Charter could fly direct.

If I'm not mistaken OU flew to UCLA on a Friday and played on Sunday. Not saying all schools travel two days in advance but some do.

Duke is a really good team... If OU can keep the ball out of Gray's hands then they will just have Jones play point guard. They are deep in the post but really only E Williams, Peters, and Chidom have been having big games as far as post go. Tricia Liston is the player that could really burn OU, she has great size for the wing and she likes to post up smaller players. I think Jackson will try and go off because it's her homecoming game.

OU was up big on Louisville, but we let them back in the game with there best 2 players on the bench.

Sad to say this but I'm picking Duke to win by 10+ I would love to be wrong hopefully it will be a fun/enjoyable game to watch. Purdue gave Duke a good fight yesterday but they couldn't hang in for long.

I agree that it will be tough for OU to stay within 10 points of Duke. Rebounding will be a big key in this game.
