Witten is obviously still a TBD with upside (but it feels like anything is an upgrade of what we've had at that position), but it is hard not to see the McCullough hire as a massive upgrade even if you think DM was a valuable coach. He has a massive amount of skins on the wall. Plus, the DB coach he brought in was a really good hire too. To me, BV has killed the offseason hires this cycle. Time to see how that pans out.

hopefully the results will prove bv has turned the corner on his hiring decisions.
all 3 hires have no connection to ou. that's a good sign he's finally hiring the best available regardless of connections.

Still has ben uberbuckle has his OC tho.. that will determine bv's career. Is it him or mateer? Well find out
He's made many excellent hires with an overall very high success rate. What hire other than SL has been clearly bad?
wasn't a huge fan of the lebby hire. was he the best available oc at the time? or was he hired based on his connection to ou?

not impressed with emmett jones recent results.
Lebby had a top 5 offense and landed an SEC coaching gig. He's not perfect, but very real chance we're national champs if he never left Norman.
Don't think JJF or DM were even BV hires.
