Frank Booker Update: He's officially committed to OU

I see Woodard is listed at 5'10''. He has good handles and can dribble right or left. But I'm still worried. Hope I'm wrong.

Pretty much since Kruger stepped on campus, Woodard has been one of, if not his top priority. So if you trust Coach Kurger...

I've always been of the mind that a team can only go as far as their point will take them.....how many games did we lose this year because we couldn't bring the ball up the court against the press? I guess I hope that Lon knows what he's doing. And was his final and most successful solution just to have his center help break the press?

Wasn't it fun watching OSU trying to catch the Oregon pg last night near the end of the game???

Problem is Cousins isn't a point, just like Hornbeak isn't either. We saw how much better Hornbeak is, when he plays off the ball. I am sure it would be the same with Cousins.

I don't disagree. But you can probably get away with having a backup pg that isn't a true pg. I see no reason Cousins can't "run the point" in much the same way Austin Johnson did. That is perfectly adequate for a backup, for a year or two.

Point guards are only a piece of the "press breaking" puzzle.

Getting better ball handlers across the board will help in that regards, as much as an upgrade at pg will.

Over the last few years, my image of the perfect college point guard has changed to one that is under 6'. This time of year, you need great guard play, especially at the point. Your best bet of having a great senior point guard for the tournament is a player that is good in all areas but is too short (by nba standards). Obviously, this doesn't always work out (tmg), but it's worth a shot.

A tiny part of me wonders why he didn't get more high D-1 offers, but trust me, I'm very happy about Frank Booker committing. We needed a long range bomber and he looks to be just that. Kudos to the coaching staff and players for closing the deal. I think his shooting touch alone could make a substantial difference next year.

I don't think that Rivals' and Scout's offer lists are always the most accurate. I look at alot of other school's players offer lists and alot of times some of these very good 4 star players only list one offer, the school they commit to. And, take Jordan Woodard. Highly touted player it would seem, but he only showed offers from OU, Memphis, and San Francisco? Big deal. While I think you can glean alot from offer lists, again they aren't always accurate. Booker has offers from OU, Miami, Tennesse, ATM, etc. While that doesn't mean he's gonna be a great player it's not a bad sign. And who even knows if that's all of them?
