They played so fast, got out on the break like no other team. Spangler was a beast. Buddy was, well... Buddy. And I had forgotten how clutch Woodard was. Amazing team.

Yep. And Lattin was a force down low at times. Cousins had some great games. He struggled in this game tho. Woodard was always clutch

So many bad calls against us in that game. I still haven’t gotten over the missed goal-tending call on a Buddy layup.

This is quite a stretch. He play nice at times, but would never call him a force.

Especially this game, and even if he was, the FT negated any good thing he did the entire game.

YES! I’ve been thinking this all game too. I’m tired of exclusively recruiting “project” big men that are more athlete than they are basketball player. Spangs was a warrior.

Though it is interesting/valid that Dickie V keeps challenging and accusing Ryan of disappearing in the last ~20 minutes of game time.

Watching the game in person, it was amazing to see Spangler just shrink offensively. It was obvious to KU and they just stopped guarding him outside the lane. Made it much more difficult for the three guards to drive because his man could always sag and help. It was odd how many times he lost confidence offensively in close games.
