Has a player ever regressed as much as Sam? He was never a power conference starter, but at least he used to be able to do walk and chew gum. He is now at the point where if he has a wide open layup, I would rather he not shoot it.

The reports about him being our leading scorer in the secret scrimmages are why I will never put any stock in any preseason reports as long as CW is coaching us. I don’t think Sam could score in an empty gym at this point.

I think part of it is on him. It’s been going on for so long that they obviously don’t emphasize it enough in practice. I don’t care if you haft to beat guys with pads or tackling dummies as they try to lay the ball in … something has to change.
