I am uniquely qualified to understand this point. I'm nearly 45 years old and have a 19 year old daughter who is a freshman at OU. Having a baby in the house at 44 is different than having one in the house at 25. Not better, not worse, but different. At my age I can appreciate what grandparents see. I'm more relaxed and appreciate the simple joys. On the other hand, time flies by more quickly. We tried for 6 years to get Murphy and a very smart doctor told us it was not going to happen. Then, God chuckled.
