In the NBA they call it "rebuilding". Is that what OU is doing?

Teams in the NBA trade all or most of their high salaries away when they realize that those players aren't leading them to a championship and they need space to start over and try again. NBA teams go into "rebuilding mode" all the time and try to find the right combination of players and salaries to make a winner. The Sonics/Thunder just did this by getting rid of Ray Allen and Rashard Lewis and got Kevin Durant, Westbrook, Green, etc....

OU is probably losing TMG, Gallon, WW, Ray, and Orlando. Plus we lost Ryan Wright and Tony Crocker to graduation. 2 or 3 of those guys were considered to be the future of the program.

Is OU rebuilding? Are players leaving on their own? How long should fans tolerate the rebuilding process? How long will the administration?

Coaches get fired in the NBA during rebuilding processes all the time, and I suppose they do in college basketball as well. I am not suggesting that OU fire Capel, but losing games for whatever reason at good programs is not tolerated well and I fear all of this will cause a few more bad seasons in the years ahead.

I don't think we're going to know the answer to this until about a year from now.
