Good job putting them away the final few minutes.

Javon Johnson is a 27% and Rasir Bolton is a 23% from 3 so of course they made half their 3s today.

Bama misses the bunny that would have given them the lead over Mizzou after trailing by 18. But Mizzou misses the frond end with 12s left. Bama then gets blocked at the bucket and Mizzou makes both FTs. Bama gets the ball back with 4s and misses the desperation 3.

Sometimes guys make plays. There was nothing low iq about that play.

True, but when you understand they can’t do anything else but make 3s and the only way they can get back into the game is the 3...we can make them drive inside the line where everything breaks down for them.

Sometimes guys make plays. Sometimes guys don’t understand the game situation and make poor decisions a to allow the other team to make a play.

When we forced them off the 3 and they took 2 point shots, we expanded the lead back to 10. Even if they make a few 2’s, were still in control.

after Bama missed the bunny a full second and a half ran off the clock after the foul. then MU's 80%+ FT guy misses the front end. great block by the Mizzou defender on another close Bama look. weird game.

Thought the same thing when a defender sank in to double the post. ISU kicked the ball back out which left the defense scrambling and gave them an open 3, which they were knocking down today. Let ISU try to beat you 1-on-1 on the post, but take away 3 since that was the bulk of their offense

ISU lost to WVU by 4. They are healthier now than they have been for weeks. It wasn't our best performance but sometimes you have to give the other team credit. Some of those threes were open shots, but others weren't and they still hit them.

Manek had a great game. Reaves showed no rust. Harkless and Gibson were both terrific and Hill scored a career high. Victor had a rough game, but that'll happen. I'll take the win, and happily so.

ISU hasn’t been full strength most of the year, they were today. They shot well when they normally don’t from 3. Yes OUs defense was bad in the 1st half, 2nd half they made 4 desperation 1v1 3s everyone on here complains about, but ISU made some & it’s bad D on OU. Vic, Kur, & Harmon weren’t good, took ISU’s best punch & won by 7. I’ll take it.

In the postgame interview with the radio crew, Coach Kruger said Williams hasn't had a bad case of Covid, so hopefully that'll mean a solid return. Lon said he's on track to play Saturday, but there'll be one more test this week that he has to pass to get cleared.

He said they'll look for a way to break up the week a bit, so it's not just five practices in a row (he didn't say it, but I took it to mean they'd have a scrimmage of some kind). "They're used to playing games," he said, implying that so many practices in a row could be tough.

Toby Rowland quipped, "Coach, you want Kevin Henry and I to come scrimmage them on Wednesday?" Lon replied, "Well, I'd hate to see their confidence take a hit..." I thought that was very funny.

Brady came through with a HUGE game! The best part: 15 rebounds when we needed it the most. He worked his tail off on defense too.

Improved on his career high by two boards.

ISU tied the NCAA record for most made threes in a loss (they share that achievement with Notre Dame). Now that I think about it, that must mean we share the NCAA record for most threes allowed in a win.

OU shot 55% for the game

One bummer today was Harmon. He didn’t play well, but what bothered me more was his body language on the bench. If you watch the highlights, you’ll see that he just sat still and never reacted when we made a big shot or play down the stretch. I’m usually not a guy who puts a ton of emphasis on body language, but his was so extreme that it stood out. He views himself as a leader and I think he is, which is why he can’t allow that to happen even if he isn’t happy with how he is playing or being on the bench.

Wow, that’s pretty crazy! I couldn’t believe the announcers today barely mentioned ISU’s torrid 3-point shooting. It was absolutely the story of the game in my eyes.

Agree 100%.... I saw the same thing. Close game and a big bucket by Harkless and he sits and sulks while KK is cheering the team on from the bench.

You're a glass half full guy - I like it :ez-laugh:

Props to Manek for being tough on the boards. And some nice assists!

Didn't get to see the game, but did listen to most of the radio broadcast. Sounded like ISU was on their game from behind the arc. The metrics tell you that ISU is a bad power 5 team. But anytime you play a team and they hit 16 threes....well it's going to be a tough game. Glad to see the team fight through it, but I will have to watch the replay to determine how much of our defense (or lack of it) had to do with ISU's success today.
