no one on Baylor's side is confirming it. And usually this stuff leaks. He did just visit Baylor last week though and reportedly the visit went great. And he is also up in Chicago at Adidas Nations with Quincy Acy and Perry Jones. The pieces seem to add up. But I'm not overly confident.
I have heard much stronger things about Hanner Perea committing to Baylor. Congrats on Gipson- I think he will be a good player. Reminds me of Jamelle Cornley from Penn State who abused Baylor when Baylor played him in the NIT championship.

don't see how it could be any other school. he's always said he wanted to stay near home. just visited. and he's not going to announce a commit to a nike school at adidas nations.

Quincy Acy is telling people Isaiah is coming to Baylor. Must be true. Good kid- straight A student in addition to his basketball talents. Good family.

It's a big day for the Austin family. Acy should be quiet and let them make the announcement. A great get for Drew. If the kid puts some meat on his bones he could be unbelievable. And I'm sure he will...Ike Austin never had a problem with being too skinny.
On the real though, I won't be shocked if this commitment turns out to be LESS "solid" over time than it appears at first blush. Lot's of things in play with a kid like Isaiah that don't necessarily apply to all or most kids. He hasn't even scratched the surface of his potential, and he isn't married to the notion of staying close to "home" to the degree that PJIII was. Remember, dad lives out west
Just a hunch I have. Plus, if we can't get him, I'd prefer he play somewhere OUTSIDE the Big12!
