Wow, great job, Sam!

Jelon looks absolutely legit.

Bold prediction: ou has the best pg play in the big 12 next season.

So, has anyone had lunch with Jelon yet?

Be sure to let him pay his own way if you do; we don't need the NCAA after us.

He seems like a sharp young man who's eager to get to work. Very impressive.

All this is well and good, but, where did he indicate Clark is going?

I was really impressed with Jelon in the game I saw on television last year. His greatest strength may be that he doesn't appear to have any weaknesses. He can score in a variety of ways, he's a good defender, and he can play the point if need be.

Hornbeak, Cousins, Hield, and the guards we've got coming back, should give Coach Kruger plenty of options in what will be a very versatile back court this season. The only question is, will the newbies make the adjustment to the college game early enough to be a factor in our rotation?

Yes

They will certainly be a factor, b/c the numbers dictate that they will need to. How big a factor? Not sure. Some will depend how the teams starts out. If we start out slow, I expect the kids to see more time then they might otherwise, to get ready for next year. If guys like Grooms, Pledger, and Cam keep the team on pace to go Dancing, they will get the most minutes. It should be interesting to see how quickly the talent catches up to the experience.

I should have said, "major" factor. I have little doubt that all three of these kids will play as freshmen. I just don't know if one or more will contribute major minutes, as part of say a seven or eight man rotation?

I'm hoping that every single one of them will push the upperclassmen for playing time. If they do, this OU team will have a very good chance of breaking that three years post season drought.

I like what a willing passer he is in these highlights, even in a game where he's probably one of the top two or three talents on the floor. He obviously sees the court well. That pull-up after the crossover was fluid and snappy without being sped-up. As long as the speed of the D-1 game doesn't overwhelm him, this kid should be a versatile asset. Great attitude, looks like high intangibles. Can't wait to see him with some practice under his belt.
