Heard he got an offer from Georgia Tech and recieving interest from USC. I Think we could really use his athleticism, length, versitility out on the wing for us next year why arent we any more interested in this kid?

It really makes me mad too that two years in a row we missed out on a big man in the state to in A Fields and this year Spangler. Is are staff not very good talent evaluaters?

Would absolutely love to find a way to get this kid on our roster.

Josh is the Real Deal i dont understand why OU hasnt offered yet? He has been offered by TCU,MISSOURI STATE,PROVIDENCE And now GTECH. Why isnt OU pulling the trigger?

Im guessing lack of scholarships and they want to have atleast 3 for the 2012 class which I anticipate to be a pretty good class. You just cant have enough Oklahoma kids on this team if you ask me especially ones with as much upside as Richardson.

I have a feeling he gets one of the remaining schollies.

Yeah, OU better jump in quick before Missouri State snatches this kid up!

Missouri State is better than us right now. Have u ever seen Josh play? Already have Dorrian Williams from Douglass and Andrew Wilson from East Central Signed

I talk to Josh regularly and he's really close to the vest when it comes to recruiting. A few weeks ago he let me know about the visits that he had lined up and I'll contact him again to see if there is anything else going on. I can tell you that OU isn't in on Josh as of right now and I asked Josh to let me know if that changes. We've kept it under our hats here at OUHoops, but we've heard for about a year from different people that Josh may be headed to prep school. Not due to grades, because he's an excellent student, but more due to the situation that Josh is still very young for a 2011 prospect. He just missed the cut off line for being in the class for 2012 which means physically there may be more development for Josh down the line. I've asked Josh about this a few times and he hasn't confirmed this talk or denied it. I'll continue to ask Josh about his recruitment, but not too frequently, because he has some big decisions coming up. However, with the offers he has coming his way, It's hard for me to see this kid not signing with a big time program.

I think prep school is a great route for him, he would probably blow up.

Furthermore on the Missouri State, USC and Georgia Tech offers...would put money on two of those three coaches not being at their respective schools anymore after this season. Hewitt is done at GT and Martin maybe getting a better gig. Doesn't appear Keven O'Neil is the answer at USC.

I've watched him play twice and I realize that's not a big sampling, but there was little he did that stood out to me. I'm not saying he's not any good, but just telling you what I witnessed. I will preface all of that by saying, I've not watched A LOT of HS/AAU basketball in the past, so I don't have a lot to compare him to. I just know in those two games there was nothing particularly exceptional that stood out...other than his hair...:woot

I have seen him play a couple of times and I agree with Klegg. I don't think we give a scholly to this guy until we get greater needs filled (a pg and a rebounding big).

I hope he goes to prep school and blows up there.

TCU's staff is gone. He'd start day 1 from there. I really think he'd love to go somewhere in the SEC. His dad is from Alabama.

Ding ding....TCU's coach will be fired following this season.

If TCU's coach is gone, could Amric Fields be a transfer candidate for OU? He's averaging 7 points and 3 boards off the bench for him as a freshman. Kid is an athletic 6-9, 220 with a lot of upside, IMO, and inside-out game (made 11 three's this year).

I don't really want a kid that averages 7 and 3 or a bottom of the barrel MWC team.

Missouri has also been more in touch with him lately according to Bossi. Very good chance he gets an offer from MU if McLemore signs elsewhere (and McLemore has been open about his affinity for kansas).

Interesting that his dad is from Alabama. Mike Anderson is from there (and his wife's from Oklahoma). If that sort of thing matters to his dad (preferring the SEC because he grew up in the south), it could help Mizzou if a few other major conference teams also jump into the mix.
