11-3. Their "Oral Roberts"-loss was to Northern Iowa in the last non-conference game, 59-67. N. Iowa had lost to OSU, Iowa State, Iowa, and South Dakota State. Other than beating West Virginia in Manhattan, I think their "signature win" was over NC State, 67-50, in St Thomas.

Starters:

C 6-5 SR Breanna Lewis 14.71 pts, 8.91 reb, 28 blocks
G 5-6 SR Kindred Wesemann 14.36 pts, 36.71% from three
G 6-1 SOPH Kayla Goth 8.31 pts
G 5-7 JR Karyla Middlebrook 7.38 pts
G 6-0 JR Shaelyn Martin 4.71 pts, 5.0 reb, 54 assists

F 6-2 JR Kaylee Page 5.93 pts, 2.57 reb
F 6-3 FR Peyton Williams 4.00 pts, 4.21 reb
F 6-4 FR Eternati Willock 5.83 pts, 4.17 reb

The one stat other than FG% that stands out is free throws. K-State gets to the line a lot more than their opponents. Lewis has settled down and doesn't foul out any more.

We can't slack off and beat KSU. They don't make a lot of mistakes. Their defense is not a ball-hawking defense. They just don't give up good shots.

Tonight is a big game for both Kansas State and OU. We are #20, and K-State is #25 in the AP. In the rpi, K-State is #9, and we are #32.

I don't know that either team has a really good win. But, I guess the rpi is more impressed by K-State's losses to UConn, Baylor, and Northern Iowa than by ours to Kentucky, California, and Oral Roberts.

The winner of this game has the inside track to be in the same circle as Baylor and Texas, competing for the top three. A loss at home would hurt OU.

It will be interesting to see how Nancy deals with Breanna Lewis. Lewis is a good one, and she has been around. Will someone please cover Wesemann?

This would be a great time to put a complete game together in all categories from start to finish. Perhaps the win over TCU will be a spark. Win this, and I think we have some momentum going.

It is absolutely crucial that we get a top-4 seed in the NCAA tourney so we can host the first 2 rounds. Honestly, I think falling short of that would be a disappointment for this team.

Tonight is a big first step in locking that down.

Win tonight and should be 5-1 at the worst going into Austin 1-17-17. Sweep both roadies at Ames and Morgantown, 6-0.

I see that OU WBBall is using Morgan Rich's photo as their lead tonight.

It's on UVerse 648 in Dallas. I think that is Fox Sports SW.

We had success against Lewis in the post by playing off of her just a bit and standing right behind her instead of off to the side denying the entry pass. The result was several turnovers in the form of traveling as well as rushed quick shots that missed badly. Having a taller or bigger presence in the post does help. Now, Wesemann on the other hand is a great athlete that can light it up from anywhere. We struggle at defending the three and were just lucky that she had an off night. Zone defense is a must just wish Kim could use it once in a while instead of man to man all game.

Best of luck, we will have our hands full in Morganstown. Sic'em!

Must be game time. Mulk just made a post, and it didn't irritate me at all.

Frustrating offense in the second quarter. Too many turnovers, very careless ones.

OT very poor coaching and playing by OU..ksu bad too

I wasn't able to start watching until the final minute of regulation, so I didn't see us build or blow our lead.... but MY GOODNESS our offensive execution has been superb in overtime.

I think one of their better players fouled out
