K-State is on the verge of an upset. Up by 9 with 4 minutes left.

I know I should always cheer against KU, but I don't see us or anyone else but them winning the conference, so I want our competition for second place -- K-State, in this instance -- to lose.

And since, as been discussed in other threads, the polls are not rewarding the Big 12 for its strength, as teams continue to knock each other off, I'm not sure it's even good for the conference to have KU lose. We could end up with just three Big 12 teams in the Top 20, none of them in the Top 10.

I know what you mean but, hopefully, the selection committee is paying closer attention.

Going to OT. KSU had so many opportunities to win that in regulation.

Nice to hear Fran defending OU on dropping out of the rankings!

You're exactly right. As much as I disdain KU, it would benefit us if K-State loses this game.

I'll correct what I said above, though: Certain Big 12 teams -- KU (natch), oswho, texas, ISU -- have been given the benefit of the doubt -- and then some -- by the poll voters.

I am torn on that. It gives the conference more attention/respect if KSU wins. Otherwise, a lot of people are going to talk about what KU did in non-conference vs what they did against the Big 12 teams.

I can't force myself to pull for the Jayhawks under any circumstances. They may win the conference title, but I want to see them earn it. The harder they have to work, the more I like it!

Quite a battle for 2nd place now. I look forward to the rest of the conference season. Every game is so important. Even KU can't relax now. Some team (I have one in mind) could get on a huge roll and challenge them.

K-State is such a little brother.
Storming the court when you're a fringe top-25 team who has been in or around the top 25 for several years.

To be fair, they have beaten KU only four times in the last 48 games, or something like that. It was far more absurd to see the Stillwater Ags rush the court when they stole than one from OU last February.

I don't get this arrogance about storming the court. Things like that are part of what makes college sports great. I wish OU fans would care enough to storm the court more often.
