That is a mega loss.

Man, that program is going downhill.

1.) Anderson leaves (one of the top coaches in the country)
2.) Frank Haith hired and implicated in a scandal
3.) Best athlete and one of best players out for season (Bowers)

I actually didn't even realize Bowers was back again this year. Seems like he's been playing at Mizzou since about 1998.

Bit of a stretch to call Anderson one of the best coaches in the country. He was one of the best 3-5 in the Big 12 and is one of the best 3-5 in the SEC. Definitely one of the top 20 or so in the country. He's kind of an all or nothing guy though...

A bit of a silver lining in this huge kick in the nuts: Bowers, Pressey, Dixon, Bell, and Ross will be a very nice foundation for 2012. Find a halfway decent center and Mizzou will be very good.
