Make it known to the world.

Who agrees with me? Tremendous job, Coach!

Gotta win out to make it a lock, but he should be.

Amazing job considering the question marks coming into the season.

12-6 will lock him in as the Big XII Coach of the Year...no doubt. Had Texas won today, I would have said it was Rick Barnes' to lose. Now, he can battle with "The Mayor" for 2nd place if OU wins their last two.

No doubt in my mind who should win the COY award! Lon Kruger is as deserving as anyone in the conference.

I might concede the honor to Bill Self. But all of that noise about Barnes needs to stop. Today's sweep should have settled that debate.

This team makes better use of the kind of talent than any other team in the conference. The movement of the ball and the players is the best in the conference. How can he not be coach of the year?

Player development too. He and the staff have done a great job motivating and teaching the guys.

The improvement of our guys is excellent.

I've been saying Kruger is COY since midway through the conference season -- and I really don't think it's close. The Sooners should win their last two, but I really don't think a loss in one of those games would change the fact that our coach has done enough to receive that honor.

I know sometimes Self gets downplayed because KU is always so good. All you have to do is see where we were and where we are now. Lon is doing it with youth and no one over what - 6'7"? And once again nothing against Self but he plays with 2 top picks and some other pretty good pieces. JMO

The only argument I can see for someone other than CLK is Bill Self since the Jayhawks won another conference title. My vote would be:

1. Lon Kruger
2. Tubby Smith
3. Self
4. Hoiberg
5. Weber
6. Barnes
7. Huggins
8. Drew
9. Ford
10. Johnson

Tech experienced a brief uptick (we fell victim to them during it), but they've lost five straight and are 5-11 in conference. Can't see voting Tubby #2.

Who selects COY? The press or the other coaches? It seems that more often than not, they are lazy and just pick the coach of the team that wins the conference.
