Yes, the economy being down is a sacrifice I’m willing to make so that more people don’t die.
This.

Good gravy.....
It's an interesting question isn't it.... Some people are willing to die for certain things.
For example, I would die to save my sons life. I would die defending the country if I believed in the war, etc.
Let's take that here... are you willing to risk your health, your families health, your life, being hospitalized, etc (there are more outcomes than death with this) to get the economy back open?
Interesting question.
Sheep, Boulder, Steve.... are you?

1.7 million deaths... and a complete collapse of the healthcare system. Don't forget to leave that part out. 20 million people needing to be hospitalized, with 900,000 beds.

You would endanger the people around you for the economy? Just making sure I understand which part you were talking about.

That's great but it's not really about you, it's about all the susceptible people you might pass it to.
I YOU WE do this every single day
but if you are talking about it as it relates to this virus only and the shutdown
yes if the alternative is the end of our entire way of life
It might not spread as fast as it has in NYC but take a look at Dallas, that's very close to home, and they confirmed 24 more cases yesterday, and it's been shut down much more than the cities here. OKC and Tulsa are major metropolitan areas where you can still move around unhindered and most businesses are still open. It's going to get way worse here, in my opinion.
Lets translate that to a real life scenario.... You want the economy open, so you drop the precautions and return to normal life, which is what is required to fully open the economy. You contract the virus, and touch things in your office, in stores, out and about town, and 10 people contract it from you... 2 of them are susceptible, and die from Covid-19. They got it from you.
Not saying you think its good, but in this case it is a fair trade for the economy, right? That is what is being stated.
Right?
No we don’t knowingly put peoples lives in danger by doing something we can easily avoid.
It will hinder your entire way of life for maybe 2 months & a few more months playing catch up, I’d rather people live. There will be bills passed, accommodations made, people being creative to get us back. That is as long as the government gets out of their own way to make it happen.
Trump saying he will open the economy back up by Easter. That is in 19 days.
Guess we will see what happens.
2 months maybe more .... kills lots of people in other ways
Such as?
