Thoughts?

OSU is going to be good this year i think it will between KU vs OSU for the national championship

They've got plenty of horses to run with, just not sure if they are mudders [my attempt at speaking aggie].

Real language: If they can play good half-court defense, jump passing lanes and play at a fast pace, anything is possible I guess, but any team where Kieton Paige is a starter or playing starter minutes is probably not a conference contender.

Disclaimer: Not a personal knock on the kid as he clearly works hard to maximize his ability and is getting a college education for free at a D-1 program, just making an honest assessment.

Maybe the Big 12 tourney if (a) teams get players declared ineligible right before games they play OSU during and (b) lots of upsets take out the top teams before OSU has to play them.

I guess that counts as winning the Big 12.

OSU has lots of talent and athletic ability and the conference is weak this year. UT and KU are down, MU and OU are down, etc.

Rosie O'Donell just gave the CURSE OF DEATH......:)

Your mind works like mine, Mizz! Next to the SI Cover Curse I can't think of anything worse than the Mark Rogers Curse. He also picked OSU to win a bedlam football game 2 or 3 years ago, 2009 maybe?

It's pretty obvious that Mark Rodgers knows his basketball. I mean just look at the way he handles to rock.:)

ku is down? they have top 50 recruits, now upperclassmen, at basically every position. people are completely overreacting to their lack of depth. unless they suffer a chain of injuries, they'll be more than fine.

mu is down? they've got almost everyone back from last year's tournament team. and denmon is a scoring machine.

ou might be down in historic terms, but i can't imagine they aren't up relative to the last couple of years.

a&m, baylor, kstate, isu, etc. all have solid teams, or perhaps better than solid. i have a hard time seeing osu in the top half of the big 12 - and that isn't a knock on osu, more a reflection that the big 12 isn't as down as people like to claim. just because there aren't runaway favorites/nat'l title contenders in the league doesn't mean it's going to be any easier for a team looking to move from the nit to the top of the league.

He also said that the Big 12 may be the best conference this year. I don't see how that can be. Very mediocer year.

Oh and remember when he thought our uniforms were cream b/c the got washed with some rust?

The Big XII is going be VERY good. No we don't have a UNC or Ohio State at the top, but we have a bunch of good teams, plus we dropped the two worst teams from the league. I think our 10 team league sends 7 dancing:

KU
OSU
Baylor
aTm
Texas
KSU
Mizzou

KU is down in the fact that past their starting five you have former walk ons coming in with Teahan and Wesley. But yes you are correct that their starting five should be very good.

MU has the talent to be good but a new coach who isn't bringing with him a ton of success.

Baylor has all the talent in the world and should win it but Scott Drew is their coach.......

A&M probably has the talent to win it as well but with a new coach and new philosophies it's a wait and see.

OSU could very easily sneak up on people this year. They have good returning parts and now throw in the one Superstar with Nash and you have the makings of a good team. I still have questions about Ford as a coach though.

Al Eschbach says OU is number 1!
