MBB TPT2 TRANSFER PORTAL THREAD 2

And, you can't limit a kids ability to go pro.

colleges don't have anything to do with when kids "turn" pro ..

the NBA via their CBA and the NFL via their CBA limit who can be in the league ..

the NCAA has 0 to do with that and CBA's are 100% legal and allowed ..

Then, have the NCAA declare that any student that receives NIL money is ineligible for intercollegiate participation.

Judicial decisions have properly found that you can't steal a kid's NIL rights. There aren't any decisions saying the NCAA can't define what an amateur is and only allow amateurs to play sports. And, you can't limit a kids ability to go pro.
s

as long as colleges make TV money they can't limit NIL in any way going forward ..

SCOTUS has decided this already ..

This pretty well sums it up. This is unsustainable and the product will continue to suffer. Then the money goes away.

Weirdly enough, the ratings for MM were up this year. Except the FF of course. Curious to see if this will stay the same for next year, and the year after.

How was attendance this year across all games? I would think attendance and TV ratings would have a positive correlation, but I think overall attendance is way down. Just hard to believe that ratings would be up. Might be hard to believe because I haven't seen a full LNC in so long.

This tweet looks like we can add Tylor Perry to the strong interest list, but our insiders would know for sure.
He played HS ball at Spiro, not sure if the basketball program thinks the same way as the football did towards OU or not..He is tough, I would say Arkansas where he ends up

Arkansas picked up some good guards. He’s visiting Bama. I’m thinking Tech or Bama.

we have not had one transfer commit yet, should we be worried? I know there's still time, but we have SEVERAL positions to fill, when should we start expecting announcements? How many spots does everyone think PM will fill with portal kids? I won't lie and say i'm optimistic about getting big impact players, with how recent transfers have turned out, but I suppose there's still a small amount of intrigue remaining. I never thought I'd say this, but I don't have very high expectations anymore, just hope the kids that come back all improve and can be the best versions of themselves next season.

All good questions. If we end up not being able to fill all available scholarships because we simply can't find enough quality players who want to play for us, that will be remarkably sad.

Need to fill them all imo. Moser has nothing to lose by filing them all

He’s a good player, but he can’t play that ball dominant style in the big 12. Sherfield felt affects of that this year.

True but he won’t need to play that style with the quality of teammates he will have.
