Since Madsen took over at Cal they have hit the portal hard (and well). I'm sure it's a "Colorado football" type situation that Madsen is selling that every spot is open and that no one has a secured spot for next season. The KU visit happened like a week or so ago. The rumor is that the brothers are a package deal AND if that is the case, OU would seem to be the best option given the history of both football and basketball compared to the likes of Cal and KU. Cal hasn't been very good in either recently and obviously KU is nowhere close to what OU is in football most of the time.

In my opinion, if they both have a chance to come in and start, OU seems to be the best situation for them compared to Cal or KU but we'll see.
 
If Kansas is out and it is down to cal or OU, what is the big selling point for cal? Everyone is down on OU right now, but even in down years we are far superior to cal. Other than scenery or an NIL deal we can’t compete with I wouldn’t understand that.

A lot of Kids dont care what youve done in the past. New coach. New excitement. etc..

I guess it depends on what you're looking for. If you love amazing weather, the bay area, a top 5 academic institution, and probably more NIL money (that one I'm not sure about but I assume they have deep pockets, correct me if I'm wrong), you would probably pick Cal. If you only care about athletics then OU is probably the choice.

Madsen is a "rising star" in coaching .. but the brothers want to go to the same school .. if OU can get him to come visit i like their chances

Cal won 5 games…. I’d pick OU over that. I’m going to assume it will be Kansas since he is visiting this weekend. It’s going to be hard to beat out Kansas. Especially when he can walk into Jalen Wilson and Grady Dick’s shots.

KU is out ive been told. They have 2 open spots and 1 is dickenson and other is a big as well are the reports.

I know they "booted" a guard today to make room.

Cal actually went 3-29....fired Mark Fox to hire Mark Madsen.

Tyson went to KU the weekend of the 28th in April and nothing came out of it to this point.

If you are referencing me then you are completely misrepresenting what I said. I didn’t make any definitive claims that ku would struggle in the portal. I provided support of Kansas mediocre transfer class up to that point, and said “maybe” NIL is leveling the playing field for known cheating programs like kansas. Dickenson is a great pick up for them. Their portal class became a lot better with him in it.
 
Seeing as the Tyson brothers weren't a package deal out of HS, or when he transferred, I don't know why they would be a package deal now. Also Football Tyson played with OU's QB commit for next year. He sounds on the verge of a commit regardless of Basketball Tyson.
