McGusty transferring to Sunshine Prep

somebody help me out here. Is mcgusty transferring to sunshine prep or to sunrise christian academy in kansas, buddy hield's old school? If it's "sunshine," where is it located?

It's almost never a good thing when kids start bouncing around from one school to another. Like sooner04 pointed out, grades don't always transfer well, and the result is all too often a loss of credit hours that could be the difference in being eligible at the college level.

Still, i will feel better if he is planning to transfer to buddy's old school. Sunrise appears to be a cut above some of the basketball factories that don't always devote enough attention to academics.

I have asked a few guys. Still waiting for word. No update to Sunrise roster yet. Lindy is on there, so they update it fairly fast.

I got this from McGusty's twitter. Kameron retweeted a reply from the Seven Lakes HS team where he has been playing saying the basketball team would be ready to start practicing in 5 days. In the replies someone said they were going to miss him, and he said he would miss them too. That's the closest he has come to mentioning he was transferring.

This makes me weary if he does transfer even with the OU/Sunrise connections. The Sunrise coach is now on staff at WSU which shouldn't be a problem regarding McGusty but Sunrise has recently sent kids to Michigan State as well as Ole Miss.

Hopefully it is no big deal but I would prefer him to stay in Houston...
