Michael Porter quote today about Oklahoma

Ben Simmons & Markelle Fultz didn't go to hometown schools. They went to dirty programs where they wouldn't be coached. Porter was going to do the same thing until Romar got fired. I'm not saying you have to go to an elite program but I like the guys who go somewhere to compete for a starting spot & be coached hard.

Your definition of "dirty" is what, exactly?

The idea that Ben Simmons, Markelle Fultz, or Michael Porter, Jr. would have to compete for a starting spot anywhere is farcical.

LSU is dirty. If those guys went to Duke, UNC, KU, UK, Arizona then they would have to play defense & compete in practice. Simmons told LSU he wouldn't play in the NIT, UW & LSU couldn't win with an incredibly talented teams last year. Also it's not just starting spots but actually getting benched for not playing or practicing hard.

1. How is any of that "dirty?"
2. You obviously know a lot more than I do about the practices at Washington & LSU to be able to say so emphatically that those guys don't and didn't practice hard.

1) I just said LSU is dirty.
2) you can tell in games how people practice: like body language, defensive intensity, shot selection, & how they react to adversity/losses/being benched.

1. They're dirty because you say they're dirty? Ok. For me, that implies that they're doing something to violate NCAA rules or maybe recruiting criminals to play for them. I don't know of anything to support that but am willing to hear any support you have. It doesn't seem you have any.
2. No you can't. People making mistakes in games doesn't tell you that they don't give effort in practice. I don't think Simmons, in particular, had a good college coach but even that isn't supported by anything I saw in practice. It's based on what I saw in the few games I watched them play last season. Bad coaching isn't the same as poor effort in practice.

I dont doubt he can play the 3, but I'd be playing him at the 4 in college also.

He does have very good passing skills and length ... and the better spacing and angles attained from him being around the low block vice on the elbow at the arc would benefit us more than him starting off a few feet from Trae. To me him playing the 4 would help both of their games more.

1) just google LSU recruiting violations & there is something new every year, though mostly football.

2) yes you can. You might give a pass for a game, but a whole season where you don't play defense, very talented team that can't win, refusing to play in NIT? Yet you think they are held accountable in practice? He was reported that he rarely went to class and he was never benched for it. Kruger kicked a kid off the team for the same reason.
